Christina Aguilera is helping her longtime love Matthew Rutler celebrate his 36th birthday!

The 40-year-old “Genie in a Bottle” singer made a rare appearance with Matthew while stepping out for dinner together on Monday night (April 5) at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood, Calif.

Christina took to Instagram earlier in the day to share a glimpse into their life together at home and to share a sweet message for Matt. For those that don’t know, he is an investor and Executive Vice President of the online lessons company MasterClass.

“You’re simply the best, @m_rutler! Happy Birthday ❤️ You continuously impress me with how devoted, driven and hardworking you are, while being a devoted, loving and thoughtful parent & partner. You always strive to be better and never settle for anything but. From being an amazing father to an incredible business man and forward thinker, you innovate and execute ideas on the daily,” Christina wrote in the post.

She continued, “I remember when Masterclass was just a little idea being tossed around our backyard. Now knowing and seeing first-hand the backstory in how you helped grow it to become the mega success it is, I’m not surprised because I witness the magic behind the machine every day — in every sense of what you do. From helping keep the family glue together to building the successes you do. I’m proud of you and will always be in your corner…cheering you on to keep shining and succeeding in all your wildest dreams. Love you baby. 💋💥🚀.”

Christina Aguilera is celebrating her 40th birthday with a beautiful note to herself.

Shared on her social media pages, the chart-topping singer penned a note about embracing the aging process as she enters a new decade of life.

“Dear 40, What a beautiful concept… to not only be ‘turning’ 40, but to be ARRIVING at 40!” Christina wrote. “This ever-present social stigma exists around getting older, but I have ALWAYS embraced it! I am forever an old soul and I appreciate the wisdom, grace and beauty that comes with each new year of life.”

She went on, adding that she’s “heard it said that some of your best life is lived in your 40′s. [So] You stop giving a f*** about all the bulls***… clarity comes over you, and a new intention sets in with every move you make. I truly believe the best is yet to come and I am READY for it.”

Christina also mentioned her two children, 12-year-old Max who she shares with ex Jordan Bateman and six-year-old daughter Rain, her child with fiancé Matthew Rutler.

“To the rare and beautiful souls who have stood by me for over 20 years and counting, I am eternally grateful for you,” she added.

“I am blessed to have the most solid friends around me, a team I believe in that makes me feel supported and heard and of course, my family; my baby boy and girl, the most incredible children one could ever imagine! My heart is full.”

It looks like Christina Aguilera is making some major music industry moves.

The 39-year-old “Beautiful” singer has seemingly inked a new management deal with Jay-Z‘s agency.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed as of Tuesday (November 10) that the singer, previously managed by Irving Azoff, now appears on the Roc Nation roster on the official website, including a bio featuring her many industry successes.

“Christina Aguilera is a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter renowned for her powerful voice and hit songs. Throughout her career, she has sold more than 43 million records worldwide. Aguilera has achieved five No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart making her the fourth female artist to top the chart over three consecutive decades (1990s, 2000s, and 2010s),” the site reads.

“She has won six Grammy Awards including one Latin Grammy Award. One fellow superstar recently revealed she almost gave her own hit to Christina Aguilera.

Alicia Keys is revealing one of her beloved songs almost went to Christina Aguilera.

The 39-year-old singer-songwriter opened up in an interview with Stereogum.

During the chat, they discussed the Alicia Keys-penned “Impossible” for Christina‘s Stripped.

“There’s a really funny, amazing story around this song. I think we were on the same label at the time. She reached out and was like, ‘Would you write something for me?’ And then it came through so many emails. What a voice! I know I could write something fire for her. So time passed and I hadn’t written the song yet. And [the label] was like, “Do you have anything for Christina?’ I remember I had just recently written ‘If I Ain’t Got You,’” she explained.

“I told my A&R at the time, ‘Let’s play her ‘If I Ain’t Got You.’ He said,
Are you f-ing crazy? We’re not giving her that song. Are you out your mind?’ [Laughs] I was like, ‘Why not? I’ll write a hundred more of those, it’s fine. I think she should hear it. I don’t really think it’s a big deal.’ But I thought, ‘Fine, I’ll go write another song.’ So I went off and wrote ‘Impossible.’ I went to cut it with her and I love how she sounded on it. It was such a cool vibe for us to be able to work together during those times. But I will never forget that I would have given away ‘If I Ain’t Got You.’ Isn’t that crazy? So that’s a good story.

“I cut the vocals with her because I produced everything. So it’s really important to be in the same space to just get all the energy. That was great. She sounded so good and she’s very special too,” she continued.

During the episode, Christina talked about her infamous 2003 MTV VMAs performance, in which she and Britney Spears shared a kiss with Madonna.

“Madonna, first of all, the queen of reinventing herself, was a huge inspiration. When I was little, I was not allowed to listen to her or watch her videos or anything. It was just like a no-no, but then whenever you grow up, and I discovered her catalog and her videos and the fact that she had such a message,” Christina said.

“Her documentary, Truth or Dare, was a really big part of, ‘Oh my God, you don’t have to just, quote unquote, sing a song. You literally can just say so much more and go so much deeper.’ Truly, the way you see her image changed through the albums. I mean, that was a big inspiration for me to want to change it up, to want to keep pushing, to grow, to reinvent myself, to discover more things about me and myself as an artist.”

She also talked about the response to the performance.

“Shock value gets more and more extreme or whatever. But honestly, at the time, yeah, I never thought anything of it. It was like, ‘Okay, it’s two girls kissing.’ It wasn’t shocking back then. It’s not shocking now, to me. But it’s so many things,” she explained.

Christina also live-tweeted while watching the new Mulan – here’s what she said about it!

Christina Aguilera went on Twitter on Friday night (September 4) and live-tweeted while watching the live-action remake of Mulan while at home with her family.

The 39-year-old singer got her big break while singing the pop version of “Reflection” for the 1998 movie and she re-recorded the song for the remake.

During the live-tweet session, Christina was asked to reveal her favorite version of “Reflection.”

“I am partial to the new version of Reflection for sure. Although I look back and smile at the version I did as a teen…I can hear the youth of a girl who doesn’t fully know herself or the power of her instrument yet. I’ve gotten to know myself better over the past 20 years and I am more aware of what I am capable of- having developed a deeper and more self assured tone, owning my voice now as a grown matured & experienced woman,” she replied.

The 39-year-old singer performed the new version of the classic song in celebration of the new live-action Mulan movie, which premieres later this week on Disney+.

In addition to “Reflection”, Christina also performed the new original track for the movie called “Loyal Brave True”.
