David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, otherwise known as the Game of Thrones creators, are writing and producing a new Star Wars film series!

The exciting news was revealed on Tuesday (February 6) by Disney.

The series will be separate from the main saga that first began with Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977, according to Variety. It’s also different from the Rian Johnson series announced last year.

“David and Dan are some of the best storytellers working today. Their command of complex characters, depth of story and richness of mythology will break new ground and boldly push Star Wars in ways I find incredibly exciting,” said Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.

“In the summer of 1977 we traveled to a galaxy far, far away, and we’ve been dreaming of it ever since. We are honored by the opportunity, a little terrified by the responsibility, and so excited to get started as soon as the final season of Game of Thrones is complete,” the two creators said in a statement.

Game Of Thrones comes to an end on HBO in 2019.

The Stark girls were joined by showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, as well as former Vice President Joe Biden, and his wife Jill.

While at the panel, Sophie and Maisie served as moderators and found out which character’s death scene was the most expensive, and it was all because of Maisie!

Meryn Trant’s death, where his throat was slit and he was stabbed in the eyes by Arya (Williams).

“She couldn’t really poke out his eyes,” David said with a laugh for the reason why it was the most expensive.

Emilia Clarke steps out in style for the season six premiere of Game of Thrones held at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Sunday (April 10) in Hollywood.

The 29-year-old actress was joined at the event by Lena Headey and Nathalie Emmanuel, as well as their co-star Faye Marsay.

Also in attendance were actresses Amy Brenneman, Faye Dunaway, Lisa Bonet, who is married to former Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa, and Amanda Peet and hubby David Benioff, who is the Game of Thrones showrunner.

Amanda Peet arrives at the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 28) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 44-year-old actress was joined by her 45-year-old husband, Game of Thrones creator David Benioff.

Last year, Amanda joked that she would divorce David if he killed off Jon Snow, and she recently told Zap2It, “The feeling is still true.”

The 44-year-old Sleeping With Other People actress was joined by her husband David Benioff, the showrunner on Game of Thrones.

The show is up for three awards, including Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Drama Series, Outstanding Performance by An Ensemble in a Drama Series, and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for Peter Dinklage.

The 43-year-old Togetherness actress was joined on the red carpet by Kathryn Hahn, Regina King, and her husband writer/director David Benioff, who was in attendance to represent his hit show Game of Thrones.

Regina, 44, took home the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series for her role in American Crime.
