David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are all smiles on the set of the reboot of their hit show The X-Files on Tuesday (June 9) in Vancouver, Canada.

For a scene in the show, the 54-year-old actor was seen kissing the 46-year-old actress on the cheek after stepping out of a car.

The day before, Gillian teased fans by posting a Twitter pic of two chairs on set and wrote, “And so it begins…”

David Duchovny shares a cute kiss with Gillian Anderson on stage during his concert at The Cutting Room on Tuesday (May 12) in New York City.

The 54-year-old actor performed the concert to support the release of his new album Hell or Highwater.

David and Gillian are about to reunite on the small screen when their beloved series The X-Files returns to Fox in January.

David appeared on The Today Show that morning and revealed when he will begin production on the show. “June 8th we’re going to start shooting,” he said. “We’ll see what we’ve got left.”

The X-Files is officially returning to television!!

Fox announced today that the fan favorite television show will be back for a six-episode “event series.” Original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will also be returning as their characters, FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

“The X-Files was not only a seminal show for both the studio and the network, it was a worldwide phenomenon that shaped pop culture – yet remained a true gem for the legions of fans who embraced it from the beginning,” producers said in a statement.

It was just announced that Fox is in talks to create a X Files reboot!

“It’s true that we’ve had some conversations on X-Files,” Gary Newman shared at the 2015 Winter TCA Tour about the show, which originally starred David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. “We’re hopeful of being able to bring that back at some point.”

Fox also took the time to discuss a reboot for Wentworth Miller‘s hit show Prison Break.

“There is some speculation in the press about Prison Break, which honestly was slightly news to us,” Gary said. “Although we’ve made it clear over the years to the studio that we would bring Prison Break back in a heartbeat. It’s probably the perfect event series. If our old partners in that show are interested, that would be great.”

David Duchovny and Tea Leoni are quietly divorced, according to TMZ.

The 53-year-old actor filed the papers in June, citing irretrievable breakdown of the relationship.

In the divorce settlement, David and Tea have joint legal custody of their 2 kids – Madelaine, 15, and Kyd, 12, – and she has primary physical custody.

David has been paying $8,333 a month in child support and $40,000 in spousal support since the divorce.

In case you didn’t know, the couple tied the knot in 1997 and briefly separated in 2008. In 2011, they separated again.
