The brother and sister duo just returned from New York City, where they were promoting their upcoming NBC special, Holidays with The Houghs, which will premiere on December 16th.

Earlier in the week, Julianne opened up and commended Gabrielle Union after she spoke up about the toxic environment on America’s Got Talent, where the two were judges for the most recent season.

“I have reached out [to her],” Julianne shared. “I think we both have been very busy … hopefully when I get back to L.A. later this afternoon, we can have a conversation.”

Julianne and Derek Hough are getting ready to release their upcoming holiday special!

The brother-sister do stopped by Build Series to promote the upcoming Holidays with the Houghs on Tuesday (December 3) in New York City.

“The duo’s friendly sibling rivalry will be on full display as they compete in putting their own spin on holiday classics, share family holiday traditions and create new ones for seasons to come,” NBC said about the upcoming special.

There will be appearances throughout the special by celebrity pals, actors, musicians and more.

Holidays with the Houghs will air on Monday, December 16 on NBC.

Derek Hough is on the mend after undergoing emergency surgery.

The 34-year-old Dancing with the Stars alum took to Instagram on Friday (November 16) to reveal that he had appendicitis and had to have his appendix removed.

“Woke up at 3am with a severe and a sharp pain in my abdomen. Knew something wasn’t right. Turned out it was appendicitis and had surgery to remove my appendix straight away,” Derek wrote. “This is me immediately after, still a little(a lot) medicated, giving @hayley.erbert a (sexy) little dance. Me: Is this doing it for you babe? Hayley: So hot. Thank you for lying to me babe ;)”

Brother and sister dancing duo Julianne Hough and Derek Hough went on a couples retreat with their significant others recently and they reunited with Brooke Burke!

The Houghs were joined by Julianne‘s husband Brooks Laich and Derek‘s girlfriend Hayley Erbert during a trip to the new Nobu Hotel Los Cabos in Mexico.

Derek competed with Brooke on Dancing With the Stars in 2008 and they won. She was joined on the trip by her new boyfriend Scott Rigsby, a partner in an L.A. based real estate development company.

The six stars enjoyed an afternoon by the pool, some pampering at Esencia Spa, and a dinner at Nobu restaurant where they met up with more stars like Mario Lopez, Erika Christensen, and Dania Ramirez.

Julianne Hough goes barefoot while leaving a friend’s house on Friday afternoon (October 11) in Los Angeles.

The 31-year-old entertainer was joined by her older brother Derek and another friend while stepping out for the afternoon.

Julianne made the devastating announcement one day later that her beloved dogs Lexi and Harley tragically passed away two weeks ago.

Brooks Laich, Julianne‘s husband, has credited Derek with providing the couple with comfort and support in this difficult time. He wrote a thank you for Derek and two other friends “for going above and beyond what we could ever imagine asking of you. There simply are no words to express our gratitude, we love you deeply and are so grateful for you.”
