Echosmith is kicking off a brand new era!

The multi-platinum alt-pop trio released the music video for “Lonely Generation,” the lead single and title track of their forthcoming studio album, on Tuesday (October 15) – and Just Jared is bringing you an exclusive first look.

“Thank you so much for being patient and believing in us. We’re so happy and proud of this record and can’t wait for you to hear it,” they said of the upcoming album, due out on January 10, 2020.

“Lonely Generation,” as well as the album, are being released under their own newly formed label, Echosmith Music, in a deal with Warner/ADA – and they’ll be heading out on the road next year for the Lonely Generation Tour, too!

The new track’s accompanying music video addresses the feeling of loneliness in a world consumed by social media.

“No matter what situation we’re in, we’re constantly being consumed by our phones and having the hardest time being present. This video really captures that, while also serving as a sneak peek into every single video we made for this album,” the band said of the music video.

The family of Echosmith drummer Graham Sierota is sharing some personal information amid his controversy with Travis Barker‘s daughter Alabama.

The 20-year-old musician was called out for sending Instagram direct messages to the 13-year-old but has since apologized and explained that he did not know Alabama‘s age.

Now Graham‘s family is revealing that he was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder as a child and “has difficulty understanding social cues.”

“We have never publicly addressed this in the past, but given the events of the last few days, we feel compelled to speak out now to offer some additional context and insight into the unfortunate misunderstandings that occurred and clear up the deeply hurtful mischaracterizations of Graham,” the Sierota family said in a statement to Just Jared.

They continued, “Graham’s challenges have always been a non-issue in our family. In fact, it is a truly beautiful and wonderful thing that makes Graham the amazing brother, son and friend that he is. His outlook on life inspires us every day…We understand that his interactions were misinterpreted and misunderstood in the confusing world of social media, and we are deeply sorry. Graham certainly never meant to make anyone feel uncomfortable.”

“As a family, we will continue to work with him to have the right tools and knowledge about social boundaries, and to better navigate and utilize social media while he takes a break from it. We hope anyone who’s been affected, and in turn felt uncomfortable, can accept our deepest apologies,” they concluded.

Alabama Barker is clearing up a situation that unfolded involving Echosmith‘s Graham Sierota.

After the 13-year-old “Our House” singer’s father Travis Barker called out the 20-year-old drummer for allegedly inappropriately DMing his daughter, Alabama clarified the situation on her Instagram Story on Thursday (August 1).

“Hey guys! I am posting on behalf of the drummer of Echosmith! He had dmed me a while back in 2016 and then once again in July saying I was beautiful and invited me to a bbq at his house. He is very sorry about the situation and regretful I forgive him and would like for all this to be over,” she wrote.

Travis Barker is putting Graham Sierota on blast.

The 43-year-old Blink-182 star called out the 20-year-old Echosmith drummer for inappropriately messaging his 13-year-old daughter, Alabama.

“When I found out a 20 year old man was trying to get in touch with my 13 year old daughter by filling her Instagram messages with party invites and compliments I was disgusted. That’s predatory behaviour and there is nothing cool, normal or ok about it at all,” he told The Blast on Wednesday (July 31).

He first reportedly reached out to Alabama in 2016 when he was 17 and she was 10 years old, and said “By the way I’m Graham from echosmith and I think ur beautiful.” He says he did not know her age at the time.

After Graham sent her an invite to a BBQ party at his house earlier this month, Alabama then shared the exchange on her social media. At that point, he claims, he realized her age.

Graham has since responded to the allegations with a statement provided to Just Jared: “I had invited Alabama to my parents’ big family BBQ along with many other people, and it wasn’t until she responded that I realized her age at which point I apologized to her. I’m really sorry and feel very badly about this. I didn’t realize she was a minor and assumed she was my age. I made a careless mistake and this is a big lesson for me. I would like to apologize again to Alabama, her dad Travis, and her family.”

BTS and BSB unite!

The massively popular “Fake Love” Korean pop troupe and the long-running “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” U.S. boy band joined forces backstage at the Westwood One Backstage event over the weekend ahead of the 2018 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Sunday night (May 20).

“We are such huge fans of @bts.bighitofficial! #BTSB #DontGoBreakingMyHeart #FakeLove,” BSB wrote on their Instagram.

Along with BTS and the Backstreet Boys, several acts also hung out to chat with nationally syndicated shows and performances by acts including Kim Petras, Noah Cyrus, MAX, Loote, Chris Daughtry and Enrique Iglesias.

Kelly Clarkson, Echosmith, En Vogue, Luis Fonsi, Martin Garrix, Bryce Vine, Kygo and more acts also stopped by the backstage event.

Zelda Williams and Sarah Hyland team up to sing a fun song at the Glamour and AG Denim & Music Dinner held at La Poubelle on Wednesday night (August 10) in Los Angeles.

The two actresses joined Laura Marano, Holland Roden, Ethan Peck and Echosmith‘s Sydney and Graham Sierota at the event, which was in support of MusiCares.

Inside the event, guests enjoyed dinner and live piano karaoke by Sid Gold’s Request Room. Laura joined Sarah and Zelda and sang another song!

The event was held in celebration of Glamour’s August Music and Denim issue and the new Indigo Capsule Collection by AG.
