The film will be based on Universal’s classic monster character, the Invisible Man, and the second of Invisible films coming out.

In the upcoming Invisible Man, Elisabeth Moss plays the widow of an abusive husband and fears he might still be around.

Elizabeth will reportedly “be the one who turns invisible in the other film. These films are the result of a revamped strategy as the studio evolved its original plan to do each iconic franchise after the failure of The Mummy. Now, when they hear a good idea, they respond and they liked the one that Banks pitched.”

The first The Invisible Man was released in 1933.

In a new interview with Porter, Elizabeth opened up about some people’s reactions to using a surrogate to conceive her and her husband Max Handelman‘s sons Felix, 8, and Magnus, 9, after finding out she had a “broken belly.”

“Women’s reproductive issues were things you would whisper about in small circles,” Elizabeth Banks said. “[Now] there’s #ShoutYourAbortion and IVF Facebook groups. I definitely think I’m still judged for what I’ve done and that people don’t understand my choices, but I don’t feel I owe anybody any explanation.”

She added, “If my story helps people feel less alone on their journey, then I’m grateful for that.”

Elizabeth Banks Opens Up About Kristen Stewart Not Being the Obvious Choice for 'Charlie's Angels' Role

Elizabeth Banks is on the cover of the latest issue of Porter, out now.

Here’s what the 45-year-old Charlie’s Angels director and star had to say…

On making Charlie’s Angels a film about women working: “I told the studio and my collaborators: ‘I want to make a movie about women working, and I do not want to tell a story about the boyfriend they don’t see enough, or the mother they don’t call enough, or the cat they don’t feed.’ Those are ridiculous tropes in women’s movies, and you do not see James Bond worrying about calling his f–king mother.”

On empowering women through her films: “I’m not here to re-teach feminism to young women. I am here to empower them and to have them see themselves in a movie, which happens far too infrequently, especially in the action genre.”

On Kristen Stewart not being the obvious choice as Sabina in Charlie’s Angels: “She knew this was an opportunity to change the trajectory of the opportunities she was being given in Hollywood, and I wanted to do that for her. As a producer, I make movies that star women all the time, and she was not on the list [of potential stars]. I felt that needed to be changed.”

On comparing herself to her male peers earlier in her career: “I looked at the male peers I came up with [including Paul Rudd and Bradley Cooper, both of whom she has worked with in the Wet Hot American Summer franchise], and they were going off to play superheroes and making millions of dollars. I either had to believe I wasn’t as good as they were, or that the system was rigged against me and they had a lot more opportunity than I did. I had to work the system for myself, because it was not going to give me what I wanted.”

Ella Balinska Opens Up About Working With Elizabeth Banks on 'Charlie's Angels': 'It Was Something Incredible'

The stars of Charlie’s Angels gather around director Elizabeth Banks for the photo call for their new film, held at The Corinthia Hotel London on Thursday morning (November 21) in London, England.

Ella Balinska, Kristen Stewart and Naomi Scott posed with Elizabeth on the rooftop of the hotel following the premiere the night before.

Ella recently spoke to THR about how Elizabeth made the set such a safe environment.

“She’s an actor’s director, and she knew exactly what she wanted. She was absolutely going to get it,” she shared. “I think what’s so great about this film is that you see a real accurate and genuine depiction of women in the workplace.”

Ella adds, “You see us working together, you see us winning, you see us failing, you see us laughing, crying and being real human beings. Elizabeth says, ‘We’re not superheroes. We don’t have special powers.’ One of her main visions was to have these women fight smarter, not harder. With that concept, there’s something incredible that can be achieved with a woman behind the camera.”

Charlie’s Angels is out in theaters now.

FYI: Kristen is wearing Thom Browne. Naomi wore an Esaú Yori leather dress with Calzedonia tights and Nicholas Kirkwood boots. Ella wore a Claudia Li look. Elizabeth is wearing an Isabel Marant dress.
