We learned more about the town of Westview and how Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) is controlling the minds of all the residents of the town. She also exited the town for the first time to confront the SWORD agents outside of the “hex,” as Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) is calling it, and to tell them to leave her alone.

Throughout the episode, we also saw Wanda and Vision’s kids Billy and Tommy grow up from babies, to five-year-olds, and then to ten-year-olds. The kids asked if she had a brother and she said she did, but he lives far away.

We also found out that just nine days earlier, Wanda stole Vision’s corpse from SWORD headquarters so that she could resurrect him in Westview. Vision (Paul Bettany) started growing more suspicious of Wanda throughout the episode and he learned that she’s controlling everyone’s minds.

Elizabeth Olsen on Why She Found Her 'WandaVision' Role 'Intimidating'

Elizabeth Olsen is opening up about why she found her role as Wanda Maximoff intimidating.

In an interview with Elle magazine, Elizabeth shared her thoughts on her new Disney+ series WandaVision.

“I’ve only been working for 10 years,” she explained. “But there is this feeling where you start to get comfortable. WandaVision was the furthest thing from comfortable for me. It felt intimidating. The character is a completely different thing.”

WandaVision stars Elizabeth as Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, alongside Paul Bettany as Vision. The show is an ode to sitcoms from the past, with the first episode set in the 1950s and echoing The Dick Van Dyke Show, while the second took place in the 1960s and paid homage to the series Bewitched.

Elizabeth added that the new setting allowed for a different approach to the characters.

“The show is like a blank slate for them,” Elizabeth said. “Wanda and Vision’s journey to this point is a story of pure, innocent love and deep connection with another person. It was also very traumatizing. Tragedy has always been their story. In our show, we kind of wipe that clean and start fresh.”

Fans can find out when the next episode of WandaVision is airing here.

Elizabeth also recently shared why the Scarlet Witch’s accent disappeared in WandaVision – find out why!

Elizabeth Olsen Explains Why Scarlet Witch's Accent Disappeared in 'WandaVision'

Elizabeth Olsen is explaining her disappearing accent!

Marvel fans were left wondering why the star’s Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff had a thick accent up until WandaVision‘s premiere on Disney+.

During an interview with Collider, Elizabeth addressed the accent, which was set to be from the fictional Sokovia in 2015′s Avengers: Age of Ultron.

“The Sokovia accent was created by me and Aaron [Taylor-Johnson] and our dialect coach because it’s a fake country and we could find different sources of Slavic sounds. We wanted to make sure it didn’t sound Russian because Black Widow speaks Russian, and so we just needed to sound more like Slovakian. So we created these sound changes…and then all of a sudden, all these different characters had to speak it in different films,” she explained.

“The Sokovian accent took a lot of time. It hasn’t gone anywhere. There have been reasons for everything. It lightened up when she started living in the States, and in WandaVision she is playing the role of being in an American sitcom and so it’s not gone. It is absolutely still there,” she went on to say.

The Russo brothers also explained the changing accent years ago.

“One is you’ll notice at the beginning of Civil War that Black Widow is training her to be a spy, and two is she’s been on the run, and one of the most distinguishing characteristics that she has is her accent,” they explained in 2018.

There was also an Avengers post-credits scene that never ended up airing!

Did 'WandaVision' Have a Live Audience? See How They Made It Happen!

While watching the new Marvel series WandaVision on Disney+, you might be wondering if there was actually a live audience or if a laugh track was used.

The new series pays homage to specific eras of television sitcoms with the first episode set in the 1950s and mirroring The Dick Van Dyke Show. The second episode pays homage to Bewitched and takes place in the 1960s.

The third episode will take place in the 1970s and it has been said that future episodes will evoke The Office, Modern Family, and Full House.

A live audience was actually used for the first episode of the series!

“It was insanity,” Elizabeth Olsen told EW about filming with a live audience. “There was something very meta for my own life because I would visit those tapings as a kid, where my sisters were working [on Full House].”

“We were all so high by the end of it, we wanted to keep on running the show,” Paul Bettany added. “Maybe take it out on tour or something. WandaVision on ice.”

A new featurette was released and it shows the audience on set!
