The movie release calendar keeps getting switched around due to the coronavirus pandemic and three highly anticipated films were just delayed.

Emily Blunt‘s A Quiet Place 2 was originally supposed to hit theaters back in March and then it was delayed to Labor Day weekend when the pandemic began. Now, the film has been pushed back until April 23, 2021.

Tom Cruise‘s Top Gun: Maverick was scheduled to be released on December 23, 2020, but fans will have to wait another six months as the release date has been pushed back to July 2, 2021.

Another major film that has been delayed is Tom Holland‘s third Spider-Man movie, which was previously scheduled for November 5, 2021. Now that Avatar 2 has vacated the December 17, 2021 slot, Spider-Man 3 has moved to that date.

Disney has announced a TON of new release dates for their upcoming movies, including Mulan, the Star Wars franchise, and the four upcoming Avatar sequels.

Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson are heading to Netflix!

It was been announced that the actors’ upcoming superhero movie Ball and Chain has been picked up by Netflix, Variety said.

Written by Emily V. Gordon, the film based on the comic book by the same name will focus on a couple struggling in their marriage are equipped with superpowers. However, their powers only work when they’re together.

“Netflix is the perfect partner to deliver this epic superhero/romantic comedy experience alongside us, and we’re excited to be back in business with the Netflix team,” Dwayne shared. I’m also excited to not only reunite with dear friend Emily Blunt in front of the camera, but to also collaborate as producing partners as we bring Emily V. Gordon’s script to life.”

Emily and Dwayne also star in Disney’s Jungle Cruise together, which was moved to July 2021, due to coronavirus.

Ball and Chain does not have a release date yet.

Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt are set to star in a brand new movie together, called Ball and Chain.

THR reports that the flick is an adaption of the 1990s comic of the same name.

The film project is being promoted as a Mr. and Mrs. Smith superhero story, and will focus on a couple struggling in their marriage are equipped with superpowers.

However, their powers only work when they’re together.

The movie will be written by Emily V. Gordon.

John Krasinski is back with Some Good News!

On the second episode of his YouTube series, the 40-year-old actor surprised 9-year-old Hamilton super-fan Aubrey, 9, with a performance of her favorite song “Alexander Hamilton,” the opening number for the musical with Lin-Manuel Miranda and the original Hamilton cast!

Lin-Manuel, who played Hamilton, kicked off the performance via video conference before former castmates Leslie Odom Jr, Anthony Ramos, Daveed Diggs, Okieriete Onaodowan, Phillipa Soo, Christopher Jackson, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Javier Munoz all joined in.

Aubrey had plans to see a performance of Hamilton in Jacksonville, Florida, but due the global health pandemic, she wasn’t able to attend.

Before the Hamilton cast called in, John told Aubrey that he would send her and her mom to the Broadway show in New York “When it’s all over.”

Also making appearance in the episode was John’s wife Emily Blunt, who starred in Mary Poppins Returns with Lin-Manuel.

John Krasinski made an appearance on Live with Kelly & Ryan and explained a shot in his film, A Quiet Place II, that he said put his marriage to his wife and star of the film Emily Blunt on the line!

“There’s a scene where I put her in a car and—if you saw it in the trailer—she’s driving up the street. All that is completely, totally real. And I realized as I was explaining to her all the things that are going to happen, like, ‘You’re gonna hit this pedestrian and then these cars are gonna cut you off. And then a bus is gonna come at you at 40mph.’ That’s all happening to her. And I realized, ‘Oh, my God. I just put my marriage on the line. I might end my marriage in this shot,’” John explained!

“I asked her—I said, ‘Do you want to do a rehearsal so you know what’s happening?’” he recalled. “And she said, ‘No…let it be real.’ So, that’s what Emily Blunt actually looks like terrified.”

We’re going to have to wait a while to see A Quiet Place II in theaters.

Emily Blunt is looking back at her wedding day!

While making an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday night (March 11) alongside Sam Heughan, the 37-year-old A Quiet Place actress revealed the one thing she wishes she could change about her wedding to hubby John Krasinski.

The couple married in Lake Como, Italy back in July of 2010.

“I got a bad a spray tan and I would probably change that,” Emily said. “I think—I look at the pictures and it just has an orange hue that is unnatural to normal skin color.”

James then asked Emily to elaborate more: “It was a do-it-yourself—why was I on a budget on my wedding day? Why? It was a bit patchy,” she added. “It stinks! And it was a very hot day, so if you sweat and you have a spray tan—wearing white. Just seeping orange. It was terrible.”

Later on the show, Emily and James Corden faced off in a Shock Therapy Quiz to see who knows the other better. Wrong answers were penalized with a pretty strong electric shock impulse.

A Quiet Place II‘s release date has been delayed.

The John Krasinski and Emily Blunt film was originally set to be released internationally on March 18, in the UK on March 19, and in the US on March 20. Deadline first reported that international dates will be moved, but now, according to John‘s message, it appears as if every date will be moved.

The film is a sequel to the 2018 hit that made $340 million globally.
