“I firstly want to apologize for using the word ‘hoax’ when it came to COVID-19. I realized that this was completely wrong of me and very insensitive especially to the families and people who have experienced tremendous amounts of loss and/or struggle due to this terrible virus,” she said.

“With that being said I want to ask everybody to please put your masks on when you go out in public and let’s continue to practice social distancing because this virus has not gone anywhere and it’s up to us to look out for one another and stop the spread of this terrible, terrible virus,” she continued.

“I’ve taken this weekend and some time to sit with the consequences of my actions but most importantly to think and to wrap my head around this whole thing, but most importantly share with you guys what I have learned. As my parents always told me, it’s okay to make mistakes just as long as you walk away having learned something.”

Here is why Gia Gunn is apologizing.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Star Gia Gunn Thinks COVID-19 is a 'Hoax'

Gia Gunn is sharing her thoughts on the coronavirus pandemic.

While going live on Instagram, the 30-year-old former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant believes that the virus and the resulting pandemic is a “hoax.”

“I think the whole mask thing is f–king ridiculous,” Gia said in the video, captured by a fan on Twitter. “I honestly think this whole COVID-19 thing is a hoax.”

Gia continued: “I think everybody who is, you know, taking precautions is cute and it’s definitely the thing to do, but I also think a lot of people are brainwashed. I think the more and more that we look around and see each other with masks on, the more influenced we are going to be to also put our masks on, which then to me, insinuates that everything is not ok.”

“I’m here to tell you guys that I think things are more okay than the government is allowing you to think,” Gia concluded.

Back in March, this fellow Drag Race contestant revealed that her cousin died of coronavirus.

The cast includes ten former queens, who will compete for the All-Stars crown.

“The girls on All-Stars 4 are exciting and they have so much more to show…I think it will shock fans, although I don’t think they’ll be as disappointed. We always try to do something fresh and interesting, and sometimes it turns out in a way that you don’t really expect. I love Trixie [Mattel]. She’s a real superstar, but I really didn’t count on the other girls who came back being so vindictive [and voting against Shangela],” says RuPaul about the divisive third season of All-Stars.
