Howard Stern Says He Supports 'Free Britney' Movement After Years of Criticism of Britney Spears

Howard Stern has joined the Free Britney movement.

The iconic radio talk show host opened up about the documentary and Britney Spears on his SiriusXM show this week and revealed that he does think Britney should be in charge of her own life.

“I think I’m Free Britney now, I think I’m full on Free Britney,” he stated while in conversation with co-host Robin Quivers.

Howard added that he doesn’t think she’s fully capable, however, he did compare her situation to other notable male celebrity examples where there was not any court intervention.

“Ozzy [Osbourne] bit the head off of a bat in a business meeting. He’s in charge of his own finances,” he said.

The comments come after he viewed the Framing Britney Spears documentary, which premiered earlier this month.

In the past, Howard has been a fierce critic of Britney, and notably called out her judging position on The X Factor back in 2012.

At the time he joked that the addition of Britney to the show was “a wonderful decision” because she “still thinks the earth is flat.”

“I think we’re going to tune in to see her, to see if she can function through the thing,” Howard said at the time. “As far as any real criticism, I think Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid will do that. . .I think Britney will sit there and eat a lollipop and wear a sexy outfit. I’ll tune in to see what kind of train wreck she is, absolutely.”

Years before that, Howard hosted Fred Durst on the show, who claimed he had a fling with Britney.

Howard isn’t the worst critic of Britney, but still pretty notable.

Fans have also been calling out other people of note to apologize to the singer after the interviews she had with them over their treatment of her.

Howard Stern Has Advice for Ellen DeGeneres & It's Not What You'd Expect

Howard Stern is sharing his advice for Ellen DeGeneres amid her recent controversy and it’s not exactly what you’d think.

The talk show host has earned a reputation lately for not being the kind person she tells others to be and the employees of her show have come forward with allegations of a toxic work culture.

Howard thinks that Ellen should embrace the new persona she’s been given instead of trying to rehabilitate her image.

“You know what I’d do if I was Ellen? I would change my whole image. I’d go on the air and be a son of a bitch,” Stern said on his SiriusXM radio show on Monday (August 10).

He then talked about how he’s known for being a “pr-ck” on his show, but he’s actually a super nice guy if you get to know him.

“People would come on and (I would) go, ‘F–k you’ [and] just be a pr-ck,” Howard continued. “So you think I’m a pr–ck? I’m going to show you exactly… I’m known on the air as a pr-ck, but off the air, I’m known as a great guy, you know, for the most part.”

Howard and Ellen have been friends for many years and he even got remarried on her show last year.

Here are all the celebrities who have spoken out with support for Ellen.

Howard Stern Responds To His Blackface Controversy After Donald Trump Jr Shares His 27 Year Old Sketch

Howard Stern came under fire over the weekend when his 1993 blackface sketch was shared over social media amid racial injustice protests.

The sketch – where the sometimes controversial broadcast appeared in blackface and used the N-word multiple times – was posted by Donald Trump‘s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.

After it was shared, Howard addressed the sketch on his SiriusXM show, revealing he does regret about it.

“The s*** I did was f***ing crazy,” he shared. “I’ll be the first to admit. I won’t go back and watch those old shows; it’s like, who is that guy.”

Howard continued, “But that was my shtick, that’s what I did and I own it. I don’t think I got embraced by Nazi groups and hate groups. They seemed to think I was against them too. Everybody had a bone to pick with me.”

“…I never go back and look at that stuff,” he went on about the sketch. “I cringe when I look at myself 30 or 40 years ago, and that was 27 years ago, I go, I can’t stand it. Am I a bad guy? I don’t think so. Donald Trump didn’t think so, he was on my show 27 times. Donnie Junior did the show. On TV he said, ‘I’m really disappointed in Howard, he’s changed’, that I’ve gone Hollywood. Which is it? Do you want me to get in blackface and make fun of Ted Danson? I have changed. They leak TV shows that have been on TV to the press. I remember how badly Donald Jr wanted to take a picture with me.”

Howard and Trump Jr have been exchanging many words on social media since he criticized the President’s slow response to the pandemic and his comments about the racial injustice in the country.

Harry Styles Reveals What Actually Happened When He Was Robbed at Knifepoint (Video)

Harry Styles is opening up in detail about what actually happened when he was robbed at knifepoint in London.

The incident happened on Valentine’s Day and the 26-year-old singer described it in extensive detail during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show.

“I’m about five minutes from home. I’m walking up and I see this group of guys and they’ve all got like hoods up and their faces covered…I turn my music off…and I’m walking up the street and I keep kind of turning around and the guys crossed the road. And I’m like, ‘That’s weird,’” Harry said.

He continued, “I hear shuffling of feet trying to catch up to me, so I crossed the street and then they crossed the street, and I’m like, ‘Oh f–k sake.’ Then I crossed the street again and they crossed the street again and then they crossed the street again. And I’m like, ‘Oh for fuck sake, I think I’m about to get robbed.’”

Harry said that the group of guys first approached him and asked if he smokes weed, and then they started demanding his belongings. But, then, they wanted his phone too.

“I pull out my phone and I’m thinking, ‘OK, this is really annoying but I’ll wipe it and get a new phone,’” Harry said. “And then the guy’s like, ‘Unlock your phone,’ and the other one pulls his shirt up and he’s got a knife sticking in his pants.”

“I just said, ‘I’m sorry mate, I can’t. I can’t unlock my phone.’ And the guy’s like, ‘You got 10 seconds,’ and he starts counting them down and I’m like, ‘F–k, am I going to unlock my phone? Am I going to give him my phone?’” Harry continued. He almost was going to throw the phone into a pond behind him, but he didn’t want to piss the men off.

Finally, Harry saw two cars approaching and used the opportunity to run.

“I ran into the road and tried to stop a car. Obviously if a mad man runs into the road and tries to get in your car you’re not gonna let them in, so they don’t let me in,” he said. He was able to keep running home though. “I guess because they had cash, they ended up turning around.”

Howard Stern Shades Wendy Williams & She Has a Response for Him!

Less than a year after their last feud, Howard Stern and Wendy Williams are at it again.

It all started when Howard commented recently that she was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2011, which was a year before he got in.

“No offense to Wendy Williams, but they put Wendy Williams in before me,” Howard said.

Well, Wendy responded on her talk show, saying, “Don’t hate on me because I got in before you — and one more thing — I know the only reason I got in – and listen closely – is that I had a new talk show. I went from radio, successfully, to TV with my own show – you haven’t done that. ‘America’s Got Talent’ was already successful. You were part of an ensemble when you got there.”

Howard, I’m tired of fighting with you, man,” she added. “Why do you always have to fight with me? Because you think I’m the low-lying fruit? Why? Why are you and I always fighting? I wasn’t fighting with you, I’m minding my own business, trying to watch ‘The Bachelor.’”

“All I am saying is, keep your hundreds of thousands of dollars, your beautiful wife Beth, all of those animals that you will rescue and be happy, man and stop hating on me, because I don’t hate you!” Wendy continued.

If you don’t know, the last time they feuded, Wendy called Howard “too Hollywood” after he published his book, “Howard Stern Comes Again.” In response, Howard called Wendy a “jealous b**ch.”
