Game of Thrones' Jack Gleeson Returning to Acting in First Role Since King Joffrey

Game of Thrones star Jack Gleeson, who you will remember as Joffrey Baratheon aka King Joffrey, is making his return to acting.

Jack, who is now 27, has not acted since his character was killed off of the hit HBO show in a very pivotal scene. The character’s death, and who killed him, went on to be a major story line through multiple seasons.

Jack is joining the cast of the BBC comedy series Out Of Her Mind, which “subverts the traditional sitcom format by combining eccentric characters, animation, and scientific explanation,” EW reports.

Also pictured: Jack Gleeson, Jerome Flynn, Mark Stanley, John Bradley, Tena Natalia, Ralph Ineson, and Alfie Allen.

Jack recently chatted with GQ about playing the villainous Joffrey Baratheon.

“[His] rings – really decadent gold rings with opals – helped me get into the character. You can play with them. And the crown, of course,” he shared. “It completely abstracts you form everyday life. When I put it on, I feel like everyone is subservient to me.”
