Jake Gyllenhaal and the late Heath Ledger co-starred in the 2005 hit film Brokeback Mountain, and now Jake is relaying a story about what happened when they were approached to present at the Oscars.

“I remember they wanted to do an opening for the Academy Awards that year that was sort of joking about it. And Heath refused. I was sort of at the time, ‘Oh, okay… whatever.’ I’m always like: it’s all in good fun. And Heath said, ‘It’s not a joke to me – I don’t want to make any jokes about it,’” Jake told Another Man.

When the writer of the piece remarked about how smart that was, Jake responded, “Absolutely.”

Last year, a report emerged from an art gallery that Jake Gyllenhaal often frames photos of himself to display at home.

Well, in his Another Man magazine cover story, Jake actually responded to the “nonsensical story.”

“Oh god. What do you want to know about a nonsensical story? So what I think happened is – because I can safely say here that I don’t have any framed photographs of myself in my apartment – is that I have a production office, and at the production office we have posters of my movies,” Jake told Another Man mag about the Page Six story that was published last year.

The 39-year-old Brokeback Mountain actor posted a video of himself taking on a quarantine challenge, which Tom Holland tagged him in a day before (April 1).

The challenge is to put on a shirt while doing a handstand – and he succeeded!

“I nominate Hugh Jackman, 50 Cent and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Don’t forget to support your local businesses,” Jake said after completing the task.

Jake Gyllenhaal flies in the air while spoofing the song “Defying Gravity” from Wicked during a sketch on Saturday Night Live‘s latest episode.

The 39-year-old actor made a surprise appearance on the show during the “Airport Sushi” sketch alongside host John Mulaney and musical guest David Byrne.

In the sketch, Pete Davidson plays a guy who surprises everyone by buying sushi at LaGuardia Airport. People then start coming out of nowhere to explain what’s going to happen if he eats the sushi and they spoofed Broadway shows like The Phantom of the Opera, Annie, West Side Story, and more in the process.

David, who just appeared on Broadway in his show American Utopia, made an appearance in the sketch at the end as the air traffic controller.
