“We’ve known each other forever and been best friends for 15-plus years. We lived together in L.A.,” Jamie recalled.

“You’re aging pretty well, mate,” added Eddie.

“We look better than we did when we met, probably, in many ways. Some pretty terrible hair going on. I remember that it was 2009, because — let’s set the scene up a little bit. We weren’t working a great deal,” Jamie said.

“At all. At all,” Eddie added.

“OK, we weren’t working at all. We’re going up for a lot of stuff in L.A., a lot of the same stuff sometimes, which was depressing. I think we lived together for about three months. And there was so little to do — if we didn’t have an audition. The reason I remember it was one day we went to a Pottery Barn or something, and…we made some crockery. We made plates and clay pots, and I remember we wrote the names of all these actors who were our gang. Everyone has done pretty good. You’ve got an Academy Award. I mean, it’s kind of insane,” Jamie said.

“I’m slightly embarrassed you’re putting that out into the public arena, given I used to tell my parents that I was going to L.A. in January to endlessly slave away to try to get work. You and Andrew Garfield and I were texting, trying to remember what those things were. And one of them was BioShock [a movie based on a video game, which never got made]. You remember BioShock? We were furious with each other as we were going through it, and competing for the same role. I remember auditioning for 10,000 BC, which involved being topless, running around, like in Egypt. I mean, look at me. I’m sort of pallid, white, moley. I was always two hours early or an hour late to auditions, endlessly running these lines. But it was great in the sense that you got to try everything and fail hard,” Eddie went on to say.

“Totally. There was just so much failure. I just remember your rental car — the foot area of the front passenger seat was a sea of failed audition sides. You were just shucking them down there after coming out of one of those auditions, going, ‘That’s another fail,’” Jamie said.

“We were shooting at this pub and they asked me to pour a pint of Guinness,” Emily told Graham Norton. “And I thought, this is going to be amazing and I’m going to crush it. Didn’t, at all.” She shared a picture of the moment where a crowd of patrons watched as the pint turned entirely to foam. “That’s sacrilege!” Jamie chimed in.

Jamie Dornan and Amelia Warner‘s daughters are doing the holidays right.

The 38-year-old Wild Mountain Thyme actor and his musical wife shared how their daughters, Alberta, Elva and Dulcie, decorated their own Christmas tree for the holidays.

The short evergreen tree features a lot of garland around it, with bursts of bright colors.

In the front of it all, the three girls decided to put a handful of paper ornaments embellished with hearts on them on the tree to dress it up even more.

“The kids tree! Didn’t they do well?.. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄,” Amelia captioned on her Instagram account.

Jamie and Amelia welcomed Dulcie in 2013, with her sister Elva arriving in 2016. Alberta is only one, as she was born in 2019.

The two actors will be starring in the upcoming movie Belfast, a semi-autobiographical film written and directed by Kenneth Branagh. It was just announced that the movie has been acquired by Focus Features for a worldwide release.

Belfast is about “a boy’s childhood during the tumult of the late 1960s in the Northern Ireland capital,” according to Deadline. Jamie and Caitriona will “play a glamorous working-class couple caught up in the mayhem” with Judi Dench and Ciarin Hinds as the grandparents.

To be embraced by filmmakers and distributors of such proven imagination and talent as Focus is fantastic. We are honoured to partner with Peter Kujawski and his amazing team. Jamie Dornan Reveals His Favorite Film as a Child, Which He Recently Introduced to His Daughter

Jamie Dornan is opening up about the movie he loved as a kid, which he recently introduced to his seven-year-old daughter Dulcie.

In a recent joint interview with Wild Mountain Thyme co-star Emily Blunt for Variety, the actress was asked if she could guess Jamie‘s favorite movie from childhood.

“Can I have a clue Jamie? Would it have been animated or not-animated?” Emily said.

Jamie replied, “Not animated and weirdly, we just introduced it to Dulcie, our eldest, on her seventh birthday last week. We thought it was time for her to see it.”

Emily guessed, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? The Sound of Music?”

Jamie then said, “No, she’s seen that. [giving a hint] Splurge guns. A lot of kids do a performance of it at school. Jodie Foster was in it when she was like 13.”

Emily then correctly guessed Bugsy Malone!
