Ben Platt is joined by co-star Zoey Deutch and executive producer Ryan Murphy at the L.A. tastemaker screening of The Politician on Tuesday (July 23) at the San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood, Calif.

The cast of the upcoming Netflix series stepped out to screen the first episode for some lucky people. The actors in attendance also included Lucy Boynton, January Jones, Dylan McDermott, David Corenswet, Julia Schlaepfer, and Rahne Jones.

Some of the special guests who stepped out to check out the show included Ed Westwick, Nia Vardalos, Charlie Carver, and Rob Lowe with his son John Owen.

Ryan‘s producing partner Brad Falchuk and Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos were there as well.

January Jones is sporting a new look!

The 41-year-old Mad Men star showed off her new, blunt bob in an oversized suit as she arrived at the 2019 Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future party on Tuesday (June 11) at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

Other stars at the party included Elizabeth Chambers, Lake Bell, Cara Santana, Rebecca Gayheart, She’s Out of My League star Alice Eve, The Wife actress Annie Starke, The Help actress Ahna O’Reilly, and Good Omens actress Adria Arjona.

This year’s event honored Elizabeth Debicki.

January Jones is opening up about the time when she and Mad Men co-star Jon Hamm were supposed to be on the cover of Vanity Fair, but another celeb bumped them off.

The actors were likely supposed to be on the August 2009 cover, but when Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, the magazine chose him for the cover instead.

“Was supposed to be the cover of @vanityfair by Annie Leibovitz. Michael Jackson died that month so he got the cover obviously. But if you find that issue we are in it somewhere,” January wrote on Instagram.

Among the comments on the Instagram post were ones like this: “Maybe Michael Jackson shouldn’t have gotten the cover in hindsight?!”

January Jones is joining the cast of Spinning Out!

The 41-year-old Mad Men actress will play lead opposite Kaya Scodelario in the upcoming Netflix figure skating drama series, Deadline confirmed on Wednesday (January 16).

Spinning Out follows Kat Baker (Scodelario), an up-and-coming, high-level single skater who’s about to turn in her skates after a disastrous fall took her off the competition track. When Kat seizes an opportunity to continue her career as a pair skater with talented bad-boy partner Justin (Evan Roderick), she risks exposing a fiercely kept secret that could unravel her entire life. On and off the ice, Kat and Justin will face daunting odds, injury to body and soul, financial sacrifice, and even potential mental breakdown on their way to realizing their Olympic dream.

January will play Carol Baker, Kat (Scodelario) and Serena’s (Willow Shields) mother. Carol is a former high-level figure skater who had to forfeit her dreams when she became pregnant with her oldest daughter at a young age. The head of the Baker family, Carol fiercely pushes both her girls to become Olympians in order to fulfill the dream she could never achieve herself. Simultaneously, she struggles with personal demons that threaten to ruin her relationship with her daughters, the thing she values about all else.

Johnny Weir, Sarah Wright Olsen, Will Kemp, Kaitlyn Leeb, Amanda Zhou and Mitchell Edwards are all set to star.

The 40-year-old actress and Marco, 39, were joined at the event by Ginnifer Goodwin, Abigail Spencer, January Jones, Storm Reid, Juno Temple, Kris Jenner and her boyfriend Corey Gamble, as well as the desinger herself Tamara Mellonand her daughter Araminta Mellon.

This marks the first-ever retail location for the brand, which celebrated its two year anniversary in October. The brand is reimagining the luxury footwear retail experience by displaying each shoe style in every size, creating Instagram-worthy shoe walls which customers can use to try on product at their leisure.

The 40-year-old Politician star and Jaime, 39, were joined at the event by Charli XCX, Aly and AJ Michalka, Scout and Tallulah Willis, Beth Ditto and the hostesses of the evening Maya Rudolph and Haim – Alana, Danielle and Este Haim.

Also in attendance were the founders of the shoe brand BY FAR: Sabina, Denitsa and Valentina.

“Holiday parties make me so happy,” January captioned with her Instagram post. “I need everything shiny. Or prints. Or shiny prints.”

The 40-year-old actress and Madeline, 26, were joined by Camilla Belle, Chelsea Peretti, Jessica Szohr, ZZ Ward, Isabel Getty, Lorena Rae, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, Natalia Bonifacci, fashionista Erica Pelosini, and brand ambassador Chiara Ferragni, who hosted the event with Pomellato global brand managing director Stéphane Gerschel and CEO & President of Pomellato Americas Nathalie Diamantis.

During the cocktail reception, guests mingled while applauding the Pomellato team and Chiara as they cut the ribbon to celebrate the opening of the boutique. Guests then proceeded to the exclusive rooftop garden terrace at famed gallery Christie’s, where they were treated to a traditional Italian three-course meal under the stars.
