Broadway's 'Ain't Too Proud' Stars Coordinate Their Met Gala Outfits!

The five lead actors from the Broadway musical Ain’t Too Proud step out on the red carpet at the 2019 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 6) in New York City.

Ain’t Too Proud was recently nominated for 12 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and acting noms for Derrick, Jeremy, and Ephraim.

Broadway Stars Step Out for Lucille Lortel Awards, Honoring the Best of Off-Broadway!

The awards show honors outstanding achievement in Off-Broadway shows and stars from the Broadway community came out to show support.

Kiss Me Kate‘s Stephanie Styles presented an award alongside Ain’t Too Proud‘s Jeremy Pope, who was joined by co-star Ephraim Sykes.

Reeve and Eva‘s co-star Patrick Page was joined at the show by his wife, Trading SpacesPaige Davis.

Be More Chill stars Will Roland, Stephanie Hsu, and Katlyn Carlson were in attendance to support their show, as well as co-star George Salazar, who won Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical. The show is now on Broadway!

Also in attendance were The Cher Show‘s Stephanie J. Block, To Kill a Mockingbird‘s Jeff Daniels, The Prom‘s Beth Leavel and Caitlin Kinnunen, Head Over HeelsBonnie Milligan, Beetlejuice‘s Leslie Kritzer, The Phantom of the Opera‘s Jay Armstrong Johnson, as well as Judith Light, Annaleigh Ashford, and Superhero nominee Kate Baldwin.

Adam Driver, Ruth Wilson, & More Tony Noms Step Out for Nominees Celebration!

The two actors are among the 21 performers who received acting nominations for their work in plays on Broadway. Adam is nominated for his work in Burn This alongside co-star Brandon Uranowitz while Ruth received a nom for King Lear.

Among the other nominees who attended the event were: To Kill a Mockingbird‘s Jeff Daniels, Celia Keenan-Bolger, and Gideon Glick, Choir Boy‘s Jeremy Pope, All My SonsAnnette Bening and Benjamin Walker, The Ferryman‘s Laura Donnelly and Fionnula Flanagan, Hillary and Clinton‘s Laurie Metcalf, What the Constitution Means to Me‘s Heidi Schreck, Ink‘s Bertie Carvel, and Gary‘s Kristine Nielsen and Julie White.

The Tony Awards will take place on June 9 at Radio City Music Hall.

Debra Messing & Son Roman Join Josh Groban & Girlfriend Schuyler Helford at 'Ain't Too Proud' Broadway Opening

Debra Messing and son Roman, 14, hit the red carpet at the opening of Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations on Thursday night (March 21) at the Imperial Theatre in New York City.

The 50-year-old Will & Grace star was also joined at the opening night celebration by Josh Groban and girlfriend Schuyler Helford.

Other stars at the opening included Danielle Brooks, Michael Urie and Torch Song co-star Michael Rosen, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Blair Underwood, Real Housewives of New York City‘s Jill Zarin, Broadway star Todrick Hall, and former royal Sarah Ferguson.

The musical follows the life and times of The Temptations and will run on Broadway through November.

John Legend Joins the Temptations' Otis Williams at 'Ain't Too Proud' Opening in L.A.

John Legend walks the red carpet with original Temptations member Otis Williams at the opening night performance of the Broadway-bound musical Ain’t Too Proud on Friday night (August 24) at Center Theatre Group’s Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles.

The new musical follows the life and times of The Temptations and it’s set to open next year at the historic Imperial Theatre on Broadway. Los Angeles audiences can see the show now through September 30 and it’s one you won’t want to miss!
