Corey Hawkins & '24: Legacy' Cast Debut First Episode At Paley NYC Screening - Watch New Trailer!

The premiere of 24: Legacy can’t come soon enough!

Corey Hawkins and his co-stars Miranda Otto, Dan Bucatinsky, Coral Pena, Anna Diop and Jimmy Smits screened the first episode of the upcoming franchise reboot on Monday (December 19) at The Paley Center for Media in New York City, followed by a Q&A session with series co-creator and executive producer Evan Katz.

“My writing partner Manny Coto and I, we didn’t start out with that idea. We met on 24 and we were actually talking about an independent thriller idea. At some point, someone said, ‘this could be 24′,” Evan expressed at the panel (via Variety). “It really evolved. It was very difficult, at first, to figure out the right combination of characters and elements. But finally, we put everything in the right place.”

24: Legacy will premiere after the Super Bowl in February and it follows Army Ranger Eric Carter (Hawkins) as he is put into a federal protection program with his wife after a successful mission overseas with CTU, the counterintelligence unit of the original 24 series – Watch the brand new trailer below!

'24: Legacy' Comic-Con 2016 Panel Addresses Jack Bauer Cameo Questions!

Corey Hawkins and Miranda Otto walk the press line for the Fox Action Showcase for their show 24: Legacy during 2016 Comic-Con held at the San Diego Convention Center on Sunday (July 24) in San Diego, Calif.

The pair were joined by their co-star Jimmy Smits.

“This is an expansion of the ’24′ universe, not a reboot – Jack and Chloe are still out there,” executive producer Manny Coto said during the panel. “This is a window into the ’24′ universe from a new perspective…You never know when those worlds might intersect.” Some fans are taking that to mean that Kiefer Sutherland could make a cameo!

When asked if he could come back, producers responded, “anything is possible…We felt like the London series with Kiefer was a momentary punctuation point for that character. Our plan right now is to tell this story, and I think all of us really want to finish that story, but we also love this new and exciting version of it.”

FYI: Corey is wearing a J Brand t-shirt and Call It Spring shoes. Miranda is wearing Black Halo.

America Ferrera Opens Up About Diversity In Film & TV!

America Ferrera is all smiles as she hits the red carpet at The Paley Center for Media’s Tribute To Hispanic Achievements In Television held at Cipriani Wall Street on Wednesday (May 18) in New York City.

The 32-year-old actress was joined at the event by Orange Is The New Black stars Selenis Leyva and Jackie Cruz, Alice Braga, Lana Parrilla, Today show host Natalie Morales, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, and Jimmy Smits.

America recently opened up about diversity in film and television in a brand new guest column for Deadline!

“When I look at the faces on television and compare them with film, I realize how far we’ve come on the small screen. It’s important to celebrate the success that’s been made even as we acknowledge there’s further still to travel,” America expressed. “All audiences want to see the world they live in reflected on screens big and small. At a certain point, it becomes unavoidable to notice that we’re being ignored. Young people are turning to YouTube, Snapchat and Vine to find the content that speaks to them, and you have to wonder why. Viewers don’t want to be pandered to; they just want genuine, authentic storytelling experiences. That was what first drew me to Superstore.”

FYI: America is wearing a Stella McCartney dress, Stuart Weitzman shoes, a Michael Kors clutch, and Jennifer Fisher jewelry.
