Josh Gad is opening up about the making of “I Am With You” for Disney‘s At Home With Olaf emotional short amid quarantine.

The 39-year-old Frozen actor posted a behind-the-scenes video on his Instagram on Wednesday (May 13) along with an explanation.

“Over a month ago, I got a call from @alittlejelee that Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez who wrote the music to both #Frozen films wrote a song about spiritually being together while all of us remain far apart. They sent the song and I immediately cried (of course),” he wrote.

“The video which can now be seen on my page or the @disney social pages is similarly bringing people to tears and reminding everyone that we are all together right now even though we are separated by great distances. I decided to shoot a video of myself singing the song the day I recorded it. Hope you enjoy this behind the scenes look at me singing #IAmWithYou which is the final #AtHomeWithOlaf short.”

Josh Gad has signed on to star in Moonfall, from director Roland Emmerich.

THR reports that the 39-year-old Frozen actor will star as KC Houseman in the pic, who is described as “odd and unkempt in a way that suggests a high level of intelligence and an equally high level of disorganization.”

The description continues that KC is “a genius who correctly predicts that the moon has fallen out of its orbit, thus making the space-obsessed, profoundly unfiltered and eccentric man one of the most important people on Earth.”

Here’s Moonfall‘s summary: “When the moon is knocked from its orbit by a mysterious force and is on a collision course with Earth, life as we know it hangs in the balance and with just weeks to go before impact, a ragtag team is sent on a seemingly impossible mission to land on the lunar surface and save humanity.”

During quarantine, Josh recently reunited the cast of The Goonies.

Josh Gad is opening up about how he got the cast of The Goonies to reunite for his Reunited Apart youtube series.

Talking with ET, the 39-year-old actor revealed that it started after watching the movie one night, and he says that it was “always been a dream of mine to reunite that cast. I sort of just decided on a whim that I’m gonna do this, and I started reaching out individually, one by one.”

“I started with Jeff Cohen, who plays Chunk, and he said yes. Then Sean Astin, who played Mikey, he said yes. One by one, they all said yes,” Josh explained. “From there, everybody just wanted to be a part of it, and it was remarkable. I don’t think they realized just how much joy it would bring until they actually shot it. They too are seeing the result, it’s tremendous.”

The reunion, plus future reunions on the series, will raise funds for The Center for Disaster Philanthropy’s coronavirus efforts.

ABC has announced the first wave of performers who will appear in the upcoming special The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II!

The star-studded special is going to air on Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10 at 7pm ET. Ryan Seacrest is returning as the host for the second edition of the show.

Taking to their living room studios and kitchen stages to sing beloved Disney melodies with the nation are Halsey, Idina Menzel, Ben Platt, Shakira, Rebel Wilson, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Donald Glover, and many more.

Josh Gad made the internet so happy this week after he reunited the original cast of The Goonies for the first episode of his Reunited Apart series.

Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Corey Feldman, Jeff Cohen, Ke Huy Quan, Martha Plimpton and Kerri Green all called into the virtual reunion where they reminisced about the movie.

Later on, Joe Pantoliano, Robert Davi, writer Chris Columbus, executive producer Steven Spielberg, director Richard Donner and even Cyndi Lauper joined the call and chatted about a the much talked about sequel to the adventure movie.

“Chris, Dick and I — and Lauren [Shuler Donner] — have had a lot of conversations about it,” Steven shared about the topic. “Every couple of years we come up with an idea but then it doesn’t hold water.”

The virtual reunions will continue on Josh‘s channel, and benefit The Center for Disaster Philanthropy, which helps some of those hit hardest by the financial impact of COVID-19.

“I’ve always dreamed of being able to bring back the casts of my favorite movies of all time. All it took was everyone being forced to not leave their homes for two months and spotty wi-fi,” Josh joked about the series.

Josh Gad returns at the voice of Frozen‘s resident snowman, who is having the time of his life exploring Arendelle from inside the castle, and the outdoor grounds.

The 39-year-old actor posted a picture of his first makeup test look as Mulch in Artemis Fowl on Thursday (April 23).

“First makeup test for #ArtemisFowl. We eventually decided to lose Mulch’s marble green eyes and settle for my simple mundane brown eyes. These contact lenses were like putting coffee mug coasters into my eye sockets. Catch #ArtemisFowl exclusively on #DisneyPlus on June 12!,” he captioned the post.
