'After We Collided' Director Opens Up About the Movie's Steamy Sex Scenes

After We Collided is one hot movie, and director Roger Kumble is opening up about the film, which stars Josephine Langford, Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Dylan Sprouse.

The Cruel Intentions director opened up about the second film in the After franchise in an interview with ET.

During the conversation, he talked about the sex scenes in the film.

“It kind of complements it. You always walk a fine line and it’s true. Like, you get some people on Twitter going, ‘It wasn’t enough.’ And it’s just like, well, I’m not making a porno film, I’m making a movie. We’re sensual, but we’re not that. But yeah, it was really fun to play with these characters in this world and I, for one, am thrilled to see what the next director [Castille Landon] brings to it,” he said.

He talked about paying fan service as well.

“I continue to engage with the fandom. There are people who love it. There are people who are like, ‘You made it too funny.’ And I said, ‘You know what? Let’s have a tribunal in a few weeks. You could put me on the stand and I’ll defend my reasons of why I made the choices I made.’ This is kind of an interesting experiment; it’s not about trolling. It’s more about this is a passionate fanbase and we can have an interesting conversation,” he explained.

He also reacted to Demi Lovato saying Cruel Intentions helped her realize she was queer.

“I’m proud when I see things like that. I wrote that [movie] in ’97 and we filmed it in ’98. The most important thing to me was Sebastian can be vile but he has a gay best friend and he doesn’t care. But the fact that he didn’t care that Blaine was gay or that the girls were using their sexuality, they brought it into the mainstream. So I love it when I get tweets from people saying, “Ryan [Phillippe]‘s butt made me gay.” Like, that’s amazing. This is the greatest compliment I could ever get in my career. Whatever I could do to help somebody through my work, I mean, I love that. I thought that was so cool of her. I posted it and so did Sarah and Selma. It’s just great.”

If you haven’t yet, see how the movie’s doing at the box office! Sadly, one of the original stars won’t be in the next films…

Katherine Langford is opening up about what’s ahead for Nimue and the characters of Cursed, following the series debut on Netflix today.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the 24-year-old actress opened up about putting hte spotlight on the women of Arthurian legends in the show.

“We’re very familiar with the male characters, but it’s very seldom, if ever, dive into the stories of the women, particularly, the prolific and powerful Lady of the Lake,” Katherine shared. “She is such an icon and we really know very little about her.”

She continues, “To have that opportunity to tell her story, and place a woman at the epicenter of this legendary tale, it feels so timely.”

Katherine also notes that fans can look forward to big things coming in season two.

“It ends on a cliffhanger for a lot of the characters, figuratively and literally,” she says, adding that “it’s just the beginning.”

“We’ve only really seen the tip of the iceberg. These Arthurian legends are so grand, and in a way, it is just the start of very many journeys,” Katherine concluded.
