In honor of her first Mother’s Day on Sunday (May 9), the 36-year-old singer and American Idol judge shared a sweet tweet, gushing about being a mom to daughter Daisy, whom she welcomed in August 2020.

Katy Perry is going all out for American Idol!
On Sunday night (May 2), the contestants performed songs from some of the most beloved Disney movies in honor of the episode’s Disney Night.

To go along with the night’s theme, the 36-year-old singer and judge dressed up as Tinker Bell from Peter Pan.

Katy Perry rocked two very different looks during American Idol this week!
The 36-year-old singer sported blonde hair while appearing on the live show on Sunday night (April 18).
“If you’re watching are you clutching your pearls like I am? We’re going down to 9. Obviously we are not fine. #AmericanIdol,” she wrote on Instagram with that look.
Katy opted for a black wig for the Comeback Show that aired on Monday night (April 19). That episode was pre-taped.
We’ll be waiting two weeks until the next episode of American Idol airs and we learned the reason why the show is taking such a long hiatus.
FYI: Katy is wearing an Alessandra Rich jacket and matching pants with Mach & Mach shoes for the Sunday night show. She is wearing a Dolce & Gabbana dress and Mounser earrings for the Monday night show.
The judges on American Idol are facing some criticism on social media tonight for what they’re telling the contestants, even from a popular former contestant.
Melinda Doolittle, who came in third place in season six and is one of the most beloved members of the American Idol community, spoke out about the judges on Sunday night (April 18).
Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan currently sit on the show’s judging panel.

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry are spending their day running errands together!
The 44-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor dropped off a pair of green shorts at a alteration shop while the 36-year-old singer stopped by another store on Saturday afternoon (April 17) in Montecito, Calif.

Orlando showed off his toned legs in a pair of black short-shorts while Katy kept a low profile in a gray, striped maxi-dress and straw hat for their outing.

Katy Perry and Miranda Kerr are opening up!
On Tuesday (April 13), the 36-year-old singer and the 37-year-old model appeared together on Instagram Live to promote the launch of Miranda‘s KORA Organics skincare line’s new turmeric moisturizer.
During their conversation, the two talked about motherhood, and their “close” relationship.
If you didn’t know, Miranda was married to Katy‘s fiance Orlando Bloom from 2010 to 2013. Together, Miranda and the 44-year-old actor share 10-year-old son Flynn.
“In our modern family, she’s probably the most health conscious of everyone,” Katy said of Miranda.
“One of the great things about being close to Miranda is I get to try out all her products, especially when her son [Flynn] comes home with them in his backpack,” Katy added with a laugh.
Katy and Orlando share 7-month-old daughter Daisy. Miranda shares two sons – Hart, 3, and Myles, 18 months – with husband Evan Spiegel.
Later in their conversation, Katy and Miranda chatted about motherhood.
The kids are my number one love,” Miranda said. “It’s just the best thing in the world, being a mom.”
“It’s the best job. It’s the most fulfilling,” Katy agreed. “There was no feeling like the feeling when I had my daughter. That was like all the love I was ever searching for what like ‘Bam.’”
Katy went on, “The love from your children is constant and unconditional and isn’t based on what you have, what you don’t have, what career, what product and that’s definitely made me feel so full to know that there’s this unwavering and unconditional love. I’m so glad I made the conscious decision to actually try and do that because I didn’t want to miss out on that opportunity…It’s been the best thing.”
