Katy Perry was a beauty in blue during American Idol‘s first live show of the season and she revealed her dress made some interesting sounds!

The 36-year-old singer took to Instagram to show off her look ahead of the show on Monday night (April 12) in Los Angeles.

“LOTS OF PLOT TWISTS TONIGHT. YOU MUST TUNE IN. NO @LUKEBRYAN BUT ☝🏼@PAULAABDUL! TOP 12 REVEALED. DRESS FARTS. 💨 #AMERICANIDOL,” Katy captioned the below video.

Katy said in the video, “If you think that I’m farting on live television, I’m not. It’s just going to be my dress.”

There really were some plot twists during the episode. One of the contestants dropped out of the competition unexpectedly and we learned that something huge is going to happen next week.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are cycling together!

The 36-year-old Smile superstar and the 44-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor were spotted exploring around town on their S-Works pushbikes on Thursday (April 8) in Santa Barbara, Calif.

The bikes they’re riding are super luxury: Orlando‘s riding the S-Works Turbo Levo SL, which runs about $13,525, and Katy is riding the S-Works Turbo Como 3.0 650B, which starts at $3,250.

The new parents took time for a leisurely couples ride, checking out garden and furniture stores for the day.

Katy Perry is looking fierce during the All-Star Duets week on American Idol!

The 36-year-old singer and Idol judge wore a white dress for night one on Sunday (April 4) and she dressed up in a black leather look for night two on Monday (April 5). You can also see photos of judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, as well as host Ryan Seacrest, in the gallery.

The top 24 singers performed this week and each contestant had two opportunities to show off their talent to America. The top 16 singers will be revealed on April 11′s episode.

During night one, Katy put her legs up on the table and revealed that she stopped shaving her legs after becoming a mom.

Katy Perry is giving a little insight into her busy life as a working mom!

On Sunday night’s (April 4) episode of American Idol, the 36-year-old singer and judge revealed that ever since welcoming daughter Daisy back in August, she’s been too busy to shave her legs.

Katy made the reveal while commenting on contestant Cassandra Coleman‘s incredible performance.

“Your voice is a spiritual experience,” Katy said. “It is other worldly, angelic. As a new mother I don’t have very much time so I’ve quit shaving my legs. But when you sang, the hair on my legs grew an inch an a half. Full body chills! It was amazing.”

To prove her point, Katy put her legs up on the judge’s table to show off her leg hair to fellow judge Luke Bryan.

“She literally has leg hair,” Luke said.
