Julie Andrews holds up her Golden Lion award while attending the 2019 Venice Film Festival on Monday (September 2) in Venice, Italy.

The legendary 83-year-old actress was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the film fest. She was joined by director Luca Guadagnino, Venice Film Festival director Alberto Barbera, and the President of the Venice Biennale, Paolo Baratta.

“I consider myself so blessed to have spent a large part of my professional life in the cinema arts,” Julie said during the event (via Reuters). “I still marvel at the fact that I was the lucky girl who was asked to play those wonderful roles.”

The classic novel Lord of the Flies will be turned into a new movie with a genderbending twist.

William Golding‘s book focuses on a group of young boys from a boarding school who are stranded on an island and turn into savages. The movie will follow a group of young girls in the same situation, according to THR.

Oscar-nominated filmmaker Luca Guadagnino is in talks to direct the film, which has a screenplay by Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, who were on the writing teams of Captain Marvel and Tomb Raider.

Luca is best known for directing movies like Call Me By Your Name and Suspiria.

The ladies of Suspiria look so stunning at the premiere of their highly-anticipated thriller!

Chloe Moretz, Tilda Swinton, and Mia Goth hit the red carpet at the premiere of their new movie on Wednesday night (October 24) at the ArLight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood.

Joining the actresses at the premiere was the film’s director Luca Guadagnino along with guests including Natalie Morales, Dylan Penn, Jamie Clayton, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Zelda Williams, and Zedd.

Suspiria – also starring Dakota Johnson – will be released in select theaters on Friday, October 26 before being released nationwide on November 2.

Dakota Johnson walks the red carpet with her co-stars Tilda Swinton and Mia Goth at the premiere of Suspiria on Tuesday evening (October 16) in London, England.

The movie screening, also attended by director Luca Guadagnino, was part of the headline gala at the 2018 BFI London Film Festival.

Suspiria will be available in theaters in limited release on October 26, and then will be available to view across the US on November 2. Be sure to check it out! Dakota also has another movie in theaters, titled Bad Times at the El Royale, and you can see that right now.
