Rebecca Breeds plays the title role in the new CBS series Clarice, which follows what Clarice Starling was up to after the events in the movie The Silence of the Lambs.

The 33-year-old actress’ husband, Blindspot actor Luke Mitchell, is looking back on how she found out she got the role exactly one year ago!

“One year ago today, my darling wife @BecEBreeds got the call that she was going to be the new #Clarice Starling. What a CRAZY year it’s been & now she’s nearing the completion of shooting Season 1 of @ClariceCBS and Episode 3 airs tonight!! You have NO IDEA how much hard work has gone into this show & I’m just so excited for the world to see her shine!” Luke said on Twitter on Thursday (February 25).

Luke also opened up about what happened while they were celebrating the news at lunch on February 25, 2020.

“PS a stranger came over to us while we were celebrating the news & told us he was going to pay for the champagne we were drinking. We tried to argue but he insisted. He had no idea who we were or what we were celebrating but just saw our joy & wanted to add to it. The waiter told us his name was Mike Petty and this is what he does. We had no choice but to accept this generosity and now we feel an obligation to always pay it to forward & do a #MikePetty! From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU MIKE!” Luke said.

The CW is revealing their programming schedule.

The network announced its Fall 2020 to January 2021 schedule on Wednesday (May 13).

The forthcoming scheduled includes the finale of Supernatural, which will air this fall. The show was expected to wrap this spring after 15 seasons, but the final episodes could not finish filming due to the pandemic.

The CW will air acquired shows and unscripted shows this fall, including Swamp Thing, Tell Me a Story, Coroner and Dead Pixels.

The network also revealed their planned schedule for January 2021, including the debut of Walker with Jared Padalecki and Superman & Lois. Shows like Dynasty, Roswell, New Mexico and In the Dark are also set to return.

“This year, The CW has made the proactive strategic decision to launch its new season in January 2021, rolling out a line-up of our signature returning series which will be joined next year by our four new series, including the return of the DC’s most iconic superhero in Superman & Lois, the return of the Texas Rangers in Walker, the reimagined Kung Fu and the rebellious drama The Republic of Sarah,” said CW exec Mark Pedowitz, via Variety.

Blindspot actor Luke Mitchell is opening up to JustJared.com to share some things about him that you probably don’t know.

The 32-year-old Aussie actor has previously been seen on The CW’s The Tomorrow People and ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Here are the 10 Fun Facts he shared with us:

• 1. I was a shy, skinny, pimply, nerdy kid in my late teens & early 20′s and I took part-time acting classes to get out of my comfort zone & build confidence.
• 2. When I was about five I had a Superman costume. One time I wore it and dove off the back of the couch to see if I could fly… Surprisingly, I couldn’t. And I hurt myself. I no longer have a superman costume.
• 3. My first week in my first lead role I got to swim with and ride a dolphin! One of the coolest experiences of my life.
• 4. I love bread! When I was a kid, I would go to the supermarket with my Mum and she would put a loaf of bread in the trolley and by the time we got to the checkout, I’d eaten the entire loaf except for the crusts and I would have to go back and get another loaf.
• 5. Before moving to New York for Blindspot, I used to have a weekly poker game at my place in LA with friends, including some of my Agents of SHIELD co-stars; Iain DeCaestecker, Nick Blood, J. August Richards, Brett Dalton and Simon Kassianides.

Chris Hemsworth is making his native Australia proud!

The 33-year-old Thor star, who is Tourism Australia’s global ambassador, lead tourism buffs through a virtual tour to showcase the Land Down Under’s best qualities at the Hudson Mercantile on Monday evening (January 23) in New York City.

“It’s a great honour to play a role in promoting my country to the rest of the world,” Chris said in a statement. “My first year as an ambassador for Australia has been incredible, from experiencing the outback of Uluru and the Kimberley with my family, diving the Great Barrier Reef and exploring the islands and beaches of the Whitsundays.”

Also in attendance to take in the tour by Chris was Naomi Watts, Brenton Thwaites, Rachel Griffiths, Callan McAuliffe, and Luke Mitchell with his wife Rebecca Breeds.
