The series premiere of NBC’s new show Bring The Funny just aired and the first comedian to perform for the judges was Matt Rife!

The 23-year-old comedian wowed judges Chrissy Teigen, Kenan Thompson, and Jeff Foxworthy with his stand-up comedy.

“Chrissy, I get it, I look like the kind of guy who would sleep with you and not call you the next day. That is so not the case! I am so emotional, you have no idea. Like yeah, I might sleep with you and not call you the next day. Because I’m busy planning our wedding,” Matt joked during his set.

Matt also joked about how he “sucks” at relationships. If you didn’t know, he previously dated Kate Beckinsale!

Kate Beckinsale‘s ex Matt Rife was asked if he has any advice for Pete Davidson and his answer was surprising.

“We dated for a year…it was complicated. For sure. A lot of ups and downs. But she’s moved on,” Matt told TMZ’s cameras. Matt and Kate met in 2017 and were last seen together in September.

Later on, he was asked if he had any advice for Pete.

“Advice for Pete? Man to man…run,” Matt shockingly said. “Enjoy it while you can. I hope they’re both happy. I hope that it can build to where it’s an established, good relationship.”

“I wish them both the best…I hope they’re happy. I don’t really have any solid advice. Just be careful,” he added.

Kate and Pete were seen packing on the PDA over the weekend.

Kate Beckinsale heads into the Peppermint Club with on-again, off-again boyfriend Matt Rife on Wednesday night (September 19) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 45-year-old actress and the 23-year-old comedian checked out a comedy show from Dave Chappelle. They were escorted into the venue by club co-owner Markus Molinari.

Kate and Matt were spotted leaving The Nice Guy later in the night after having dinner.

The two stars were previously linked last summer after spending some PDA-filled dates together.

Matt Rife is an up-and-coming comedy star who is giving MTV audiences a taste of his talents as a host on the new version of TRL.

We caught up with the 22-year-old comedian to learn 10 Fun Facts about him that fans probably don’t know. Here’s what he shared:

• 1. I’m a huge animal lover. I’m the proud fur-father of two adopted kittens and a puppy.
• 2. I am very into boxing, both watching and training.
• 3. I’m from a very small town in the middle of nowhere, Ohio. My high school was surrounded by corn fields and a graduating class of about 100 people.
• 4. In that school for “Spirit Week” when you’d have like a Twin Day, sports team day, etc… We had “Drive Your Tractor To School Day”.
• 5. I have a few tattoos. All very important to me in meaning.

Matt Rife wears a white-button down with an equal sign on the pocket while walking the carpet at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards held at The Forum on Sunday (August 27) in Inglewood, Calif.

The 21-year-old comedian had the message “equality or these hands” written on the back of the shirt.

“Getting dressed for VMAs! ☺️ of someone wears the same powdered wig as me imma be furious. #Fashionista,” Matt tweeted while getting ready for the show.

Matt recently split with his girlfriend Kate Beckinsale after a brief relationship.

“They went on a couple of fun dates. It fizzled out weeks ago. She’s happily single and has a lot going on,” a source told Us Weekly about the couple after those PDA packed pics emerged earlier in the summer. They were also seen looking very lovey-dovey on a date night.

“Kate is very busy with her daughter and her career,” the source added about her 18-year-old daughter Lily.

Matt is a comedian best known for his work on MTV’s Wild ‘N Out.

The 43-year-old The Only Living Boy in New York actress was spotted shielding her face from the sun on Sunday (July 16) in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Her new boyfriend Matt Rife also posted an Instagram photo of himself and his cat this week, along with a funny story he shared with fans.
