The band just premiered their new single “Higher Power” in a very unique way on Thursday (May 6).

Chris Martin must be planning some new music!
The 43-year-old Coldplay frontman was spotted heading to a meeting at Max Martin‘s studio on Wednesday (July 8) in Stockholm, Sweden.

Chris was seen amid a small entourage in a bright blue hat and gray sweater with jeans, wearing a face mask amid the pandemic.

Max Martin, one of pop music’s most prolific producers, is crafting a musical!
The 47-year-old super producer, responsible for the likes of smashes like Britney Spears‘ “…Baby One More Time,” Katy Perry‘s “Teenage Dream,” Taylor Swift‘s “Shake It Off,” will collaborate on a forthcoming show, Variety reported on Friday (August 3).

An open casting call for the musical was put out by Stuart Burt Casting this week for a show “created with Max Martin” that “uses his incredible catalog of songs as inspiration.” It’s now “in final stages of development.”
Producers are looking for “exceptional pop singers” in their 20s and 30s “who can act [and] dance to a high standard.”
The show is set to head to London’s West End in July of 2019.

The 2017 Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees have been revealed – and this year, the organization included the first ever rapper, Jay Z!
Also being inducted this year are hit maker Max Martin, Motown founder Berry Gordy, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis of The Time, Robert Lamm, James Pankow and Peter Cetera of Chicago, and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds.
When asked why it took so long to recognize a rapper, producer Nile Rodgers said, “Jay Z was in a space where, even though he’s had more pop albums than anyone else, because he did it through rap, which isn’t considered part of the normal pop music scene.”
Jay Z has written dozens of songs, is a 21-time Grammy winner, and has sold over one hundred million records.
The induction ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 15, in New York.

Justin Timberlake has revealed that he will be teaming up with hitmaker Max Martin for new music!
The guys are collaborating with “Can’t Stop the Feeling” co-writer Shellback on some new songs and Justin revealed the news at a screening of Trolls on Thursday (February 16) in Los Angeles.
The screening was hosted by Variety and the AARP Movies for Grownups series.
“I’ve known Max for years and then to include Shellback in the process… we literally came from the studio tonight to come to this Q&A,” Justin said. “And we’re going back after this. There’s a ton of music that we’re making right now and I’m just so excited about it.”
Justin and Max have previously worked together on NSYNC songs like “Tearin’ Up My Heart,” “I Want You Back,” and “It’s Gonna Be Me.”
The Backstreet Boys hold up their plaques while being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday (April 22) in Hollywood.
The guys – A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, Nick Carter, and Brian Littrell – brought along their family members for the special occasion and they all laid down with their heads next to the star for a pic!
