Kerry Washington and Lily Collins look stunning on the red carpet!

The stars walked the red carpet at the 2018 Breakthrough Prize Ceremony at NASA Ames Research Center on Sunday (December 3) in Mountain View, Calif.

The two served as presenters at the event, as well as Mayim Bialik, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.

Morgan Freeman hosted the ceremony, which featured a performance by Wiz Khalifa.

The Breakthrough Prize honors top achievements in the fields of physics, life sciences and mathematics.

FYI: Lily is wearing a Prada dress. Kerry is wearing a Giambattista Valli dress.

Mayim Bialik is getting slammed for her recent op-ed in the New York Times.

The 41-year-old Big Bang Theory actress penned an article titled “Being a Feminist in Harvey Weinstein’s World” where she she has been accused of victim-shaming the women accusing Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment.

“As a proud feminist with little desire to diet, get plastic surgery or hire a personal trainer, I have almost no personal experience with men asking me to meetings in their hotel rooms,” Mayim wrote. “Those of us in Hollywood who don’t represent an impossible standard of beauty have the ‘luxury’ of being overlooked and, in many cases, ignored by men in power unless we can make them money.”

Fans and celebs quickly slammed Mayim for “blaming women” instead of calling out men for their actions.

Early Sunday morning, Mayim took to Twitter to respond to the backlash.

Mayim Bialik will not be able to speak for the next month.

The 41-year-old The Big Bang Theory actress is currently on vocal rest after she strained her vocal chords.

Mayim took to Twitter to share a photo of her at the doctor’s office. “Me waiting for a check up from my ENT. Can’t speak for a month. Yup. Check out today’s Instagram story for a vlog teaser for tomorrow,” she said.

“I sprained my vocal cords, but that won’t keep me from vlogging! This week I bring in an ASL interpreter to help me,” she tweeted the next day. Watch the vlog!

Mayim Bialik is sick of people referring to grown women as “girls.”

The Big Bang Theory actress and author took to her Facebook to share a video explaining why using the phrase “girl” is demeaning.

“When we use words to describe adult women that are typically used to describe children, it changes the way we view women – even unconsciously, so that we don’t equate them with adult men. In fact, it implies that they’re inferior to men,” she explained.

Mayim continued, “We never call men boys because it’s demeaning and emasculating.”

She later added, “Maybe if we start using language that elevates women and doesn’t equate them with sweet, small, cuddly, tender things, we’ll start treating them as more than that as well.”

Fans of The Big Bang Theory will be happy to hear this news – the show has been renewed for two more seasons!

The five original stars of the series – Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, and Kunal Nayyar – are taking a pay cut for the additional seasons so that their co-stars Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik can get raises.

The original five have been earning $1 million an episode for the past three seasons. They will now be earning $900,000 an episode, according to THR.

Melissa and Mayim previously were earning $175,000 an episode and they are likely to be bumped to $400,000 per episode.

While The Big Bang Theory is a very costly show at $10 million per episode, with a majority of the expenses going to pay the cast, it is the number one scripted series on television in both viewers and the coveted ad demos.

The cast of The Big Bang Theory clearly has each other’s backs.

The CBS show’s five originals stars – Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, and Kunal Nayyar – are reportedly taking a big pay cut to allow co-stars Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik to get raises.

According to Variety, they agreed to take a $100,000 cut in their $1 million-an-episode salaries for the upcoming 11th and 12th seasons in order to free up $500,000 for Melissa and Mayim.

The extra $250,000 each will bring the ladies’ salaries up to the 450,000-an-episode range.

Big Bang is reportedly really close to closing a two-year renewal deal with CBS.
