Meghan McCain Skips 'The View' Taping for 'a Personal Matter' (Report)

The co-host was not in attendance for Thursday’s taping (January 9), which Whoopi Goldberg addressed live.

Meghan’s out today. She’ll be back on Monday,” Whoopi simply told the crowd.

Her absence comes after Page Six reported that there is tension between her and the other co-hosts.

“She stayed home for a personal matter,” a source told Page Six.

The outlet claims that her relationship with the other hosts has “soured,” and that she’s had a falling out with Abby Huntsman. ABC has not yet commented on the matter.

Whoopi Goldberg & Meghan McCain Reveal Where They're At After Their On-Air Argument

On an episode of The View this week, Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan McCain went viral after Whoopi told Meghan, “Girl, please stop talking,” during a conversation about the impeachment.

Now, on today’s show, they addressed what happened.

“Things get heated on this show. If you watch the show, you know this has happened over the years. We’re really passionate, this is our job. We come in, we talk to each other. Sometimes we’re not as polite as we could be. That’s just the way it is,” Whoopi said. “This is part of what we do. This is not an indication that women can’t sit around and talk. This is not an indication that we don’t know how to deal with each other on camera. This is happening on real time. Stuff happens on this show in real time. And everybody, wherever you sit in all of this, don’t assume that we’re over here with butcher knives under the table.”

Meghan personally added, “Whoopi and I get along great, I love you very much, I’ve loved you for a long time, you were good friends with my dad, we fight like we’re family. It’s all good, we’re not tearing the set apart, calm down, all of you. It’s all good.”

“I think it is a lens into what’s happening politically in this country and you and I spoke this morning and America’s in very heated levels right now. I don’t love it, I don’t think anyone at home loves it but it’s raw and real and we’re all passionate women. I’m hyper hyper conservative, everybody else at the table is not and sometimes we’re gonna clash heads,” she continued.

Whoopi Goldberg Tells Meghan McCain to 'Stop Talking' During Heated Debate on 'The View' (VIDEO)

Whoopi Goldberg has had enough of Meghan McCain.

On Monday morning’s (December 16) episode of The View, the ladies got into a heated discussion about President Trump‘s impeachment.

Sunny Hostin first made a comparison between how President Bill Clinton‘s 1998 impeachment was handled in contrast to how the Republican-led Senate seems to be handling Trump‘s case.

“That is the height of hypocrisy for this Republican-led Senate,” Sunny shared.

Meghan then interjected, “My job is to analyze the politics of it. And I’m telling you – ” before being cut off by Sunny.

“But I’m not talking about you,” Sunny said. “I’m talking about the people that are the senators…”

The co-hosts began talking over each other. “Just let me finish. I let you talk, let me finish,” Meghan quipped back before questioning if they “wanted to hear a conservative perspective on this show ever.”

Whoopi then snapped at Meghan, “Girl, please stop talking, please stop talking right now.”

A shocked Meghan then said, “No problem, I won’t talk to the rest of the show, no problem.”

“I’m OK with that,” Whoopi responded. “If you’re going to behave like this…”

“I’m not behaving like anything,” Meghan replied, to which Whoopi answered, “You are!”

Unable to continue to conversation, Whoopi then cut to a commercial.

Meghan McCain Confronts Donald Trump Jr. About His Father's 'Character' - Watch!

During the appearance, Meghan questioned Trump Jr. about his father Donald Trump‘s “character,” and how he felt about the things his father has said and done.

“A lot of Americans in politics miss character, and a lot of people miss the soul of this country,” she said to Trump Jr. while addressing Trump‘s disrespect of Khizr and Ghazala Khan, whose son was killed while serving in the U.S. Army.

“I don’t think any of that makes me feel good, but I do think that we got into this because we wanted to do what’s right for America. My father has been working tirelessly to bring back the American dream, who’ve watched politicians with no business experience send that American dream abroad to countries that hate our guts. He’s brought jobs back, he’s created unprecedented levels of unemployment numbers for African-Americans, for Hispanic Americans,” he said.

“Character in politics, I believe, is important. It was how I was raised, it’s the way I view the lens of America, and I understand what you’re saying about policy, but when you’re talking about attacking Gold Star families who have given the ultimate sacrifice more than anyone in this room has given, and you put them through pain. Does it make you feel like this was worth it?” Meghan went on to say.

Meghan McCain Reveals She Recently Suffered a Miscarriage

Meghan McCain is going public about her personal pain.

The 34-year-old The View co-host spoke about her miscarriage in an opinion piece for the New York Times on Friday (July 19).

“A few weeks ago, I was part of the photo shoot for The New York Times Magazine’s cover story about ABC’s The View. It should have been a moment of triumph — a vindication of the show’s significance as a place at the center of political debate, a ratings boom, a must for the top tier of presidential candidates. I should have been proud. I knew my father would have been proud,” she wrote.

“I look back at those pictures now, and I see a woman hiding her shock and sorrow. I am posed for the camera, looking stern and strong, representing my fellow conservative women across the country. But inside, I am dying. Inside, my baby is dying.”

“I am not hiding anymore. My miscarriage was a horrendous experience and I would not wish it upon anyone…I loved my baby, and I always will. To the end of my days I will remember this child — and whatever children come will not obscure that. I have love for my child. I have love for all the women who, like me, were briefly in the sisterhood of motherhood, hoping, praying and nursing joy within us, until the day the joy was over,” she explained.

“When my father passed, I took refuge in the hope that someday we would be united in the hereafter. I still imagine that moment, even as I trust that a loving God will see it happen. Now I imagine it a bit differently. There is my father — and he is holding his granddaughter in his hands.”
