Mickey Rourke has been in a feud with Robert De Niro for over three decades and he just reignited it with a post on Instagram.

The last saga in the feud seems to have begun last year after Mickey claimed that Martin Scorsese wanted him to be in The Irishman, but then De Niro refused to work with him.

“The casting person told my manager that Robert De Niro said he refused to work with me in a movie,” Rourke said on an Italian talk show in September 2019. A Page Six article with the title “Robert De Niro: Mickey Rourke is lying about ‘The Irishman’ snub” was then published with a statement from De Niro‘s rep.

De Niro‘s rep said at the time, “According to The Irishman producers, Jane Rosenthal and Emma Tillinger Koskoff, and casting director Ellen Lewis, Mickey Rourke was never asked to be in The Irishman nor was he ever even thought of, discussed or considered to be in the movie.”

The feud started in 1987 on the set of the movie Angel Heart. Rourke said that he looked up to De Niro at the time, but he says the actor was not nice to him on set.

Well, now Mickey has released a new statement on Instagram in which he threatens to “embarrass” him the next time he sees him in person.

Mickey Rourke has wrapped up production on his upcoming horror movie that was filming in Latvia.

The flick, called Warhunt, was one of the only things still in production amid the coronavirus pandemic. However, production was under strict conditions.

Variety reports that conditions included “having to don face masks and gloves, having their temperature taken twice a day, social distancing, and disinfecting equipment.”

Yu-Fai Suen, one of the producers, shared with the paper that Mickey flew in just ahead of the country’s borders closing.

“We had to rearrange the schedule for Mickey Rourke as the country was closing its borders, and luckily he agreed to fly early to beat the closure, and we rescheduled his shoot days to accommodate this change,” he shared.

Director Mauro Borrelli added that the experience was “surreal at the beginning, but the cast and crew quickly adjusted to the masks and other precautions, so we ended up even more focused and efficient.”

Warhunt will follow an elite squad of American soldiers on a secret mission during World War II. Trapped behind enemy lines in Germany’s Black Forest, the men are confronted by a coven of witches.

Nat Wolff goes in for the kill with co-star Emma Roberts in this first look trailer at their upcoming movie Ashby.

The film follows the awkward Ed Wallis (Wolff), who moves to a new town with his single mom (Sarah Silverman) and needs help fitting in.

Brainier than his peers, Ed figures playing high school football might be good way to make more friends, but his only new friend Eloise (Roberts) thinks it’s odd.

When Ed gets an assignment to write an essay about someone from an older generation, he introduces himself to his neighbor Ashby Holt (Mickey Rourke) and the two embark on an unlikely, immediate friendship.

Ashby’s style of tough love takes some getting used to but, over time, Ed learns a lot from Ashby, including how to be courageous… which is very much needed when he learns his new best friend is a former CIA assassin.

Ashby hits theaters and OnDemand on September 25!

Mickey Rourke shows off his ripped body while going shirtless in the boxing ring on Wednesday (November 26) in Moscow, Russia.

The 62-year-old The Wrestler actor and retired boxer is practicing for his first boxing match in 20 years against the 29-year-old Russian professional boxer Elliot Seymour. The five-round fight will take place this Friday!

Mickey has lost 35 pounds while preparing for the fight.

“Given his age, he is in a perfect shape,” Russian sports manager Maxim Kornilov said (via THR). “Mickey has been sparring with young boxers, and we’ll wait and see his performance in the ring. I think he’ll cope with the task because he has a wealth of experience.”

Josh Brolin is handsome while attending at the premiere of his latest movie Sin City: A Dame to Kill For held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Tuesday (August 19) in Hollywood.

The 46-year-old actor was joined on the red carpet by his co-stars Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Stacy Keach, and Dennis Haysbert.
