Natascha McElhone and Bokeem Woodbine have been cast in Showtime’s upcoming Halo series!
The 49-year-old Designated Survivor actress and the 46-year-old Fargo actor will both star in the nine-episode adaptation of the hit video game, Variety reports.
Rounding out the cast are Shabana Azmi, Bentley Kalu, Natasha Culzac, and Kate Kennedy.
They join already announced show lead Pablo Schreiber and Yerin Ha.
Natascha will play two characters: Dr. Catherine Halsey, “the creator of the Spartan supersoldiers,” and Cortana, “the most advanced AI in human history, and potentially the key to the survival of the human race.”
Bokeem will portray Soren-066, “a privateer at the fringes of human civilization whose fate will bring him into conflict with his former military masters and his old friend, the Master Chief.”
Shabana will play Admiral Margaret Parangosky, “the head of the Office of Naval Intelligence.” Bentley will portray Spartan Vannak-134, “a cybernetically augmented supersoldier conscripted at childhood who serves as the defacto deputy to the Master Chief.” Natasha will play Spartan Riz-028, “a focused, professional and deadly, cybernetically enhanced killing machine.” Kate will portray Spartan Kai-125, “a courageous, curious, and deadly Spartan supersoldier.”
Halo will start production later this year in Budapest and is set to premiere in the first quarter of 2021!
