Peyton Manning will be playing with his team, the Denver Broncos, during the 2016 Super Bowl tonight… so let’s take a moment to meet his wife Ashley Thompson Manning!

The couple has been married since 2001 and Peyton was first introduced to Ashley before he ever went to college.

Peyton and Ashley are the parents to two children – four-year-old twins Marshall and Mosley!

If you don’t much about Ashley, it’s because she has stayed out of the spotlight for nearly the entire time her husband has been in the NFL. She has only made a few public appearances at red carpet events, including a State Dinner at the White House. The couple was spotted on vacation in the summer of 2015 and you can see the poolside pics in the gallery.

While Ashley might not seek the limelight herself, she is a saavy businesswoman and is a minority owner of the Memphis Grizzlies, the Tennessee city’s basketball team! “I am very excited to make the commitment to join the potential new ownership group of the Memphis Grizzlies. As a native of Memphis, it was important to me that the Grizzlies remain in Tennessee and continue to have a positive impact on the community,” she said at the time of the purchase.

Peyton Manning answers all sorts of questions at the Super Bowl Opening Night media day held at SAP Center on Monday evening (February 1) in San Jose, Calif.

The 39-year-old star quarterback of the Denver Broncos was most asked about the possibility of his retirement after Super Bowl 50.

“I don’t know the answer to that,” Peyton told reporters. “I think one thing I’ve done well all season and the team has done well all season is stay in the moment and focus on the task at hand.”

Peyton has had quite the legendary career, and is considered one of the best quarterbacks to play the game. His career was questionably over in 2011 when he underwent multiple neck surgeries, and was cut by the Indianapolis Colts. Peyton was signed by the Denver Broncos, and has led the team to two Super Bowls since 2012.

Peyton Manning‘s four-year-old son Marshall stole the show at his post AFC Championship game press conference held at Sports Authority Field on Sunday (January 24) in Denver, Colo.

The 39-year-old quarterback and his team, the Denver Broncos, won the game and will be going to the 2016 Super Bowl to play against the Carolina Panthers.

Peyton brought Marshall on stage with him and for the most part, he hid behind his dad while he spoke with the media. Marshall occasionally peeked out to see the crowd and was too cute! While the focus was on Peyton during the press conference, Twitter users couldn’t get enough of Marshall‘s shy peeks from behind his pop!

Marshall has a twin sister named Mosley, who did not make an appearance.

The Broncos played Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in the game and won 20-18.

Tom Brady is showing his support for fellow NFL quarterback Peyton Manning amid accusations that he used human growth hormones.

The 38-year-old New England Patriots quarterback spoke out about the allegations in his weekly interview with WEEI radio show.

“Peyton is, I would consider him a good friend,” Tom said. “You hate to see your good friends go through anything like that.”

“He’s been a great player for this league, for his teams, for his organizations. He’s been one of the best players to ever play the game, so nobody has more respect for Peyton than I do and everything he’s accomplished. Those are always challenging times, but he’s a tough guy,” Tom continued.

“I fully support Peyton and my friendship with him. And over the years, he’s a guy I can always count on and someone who’s always been so supportive of me. We’ll have lifelong friendships. Truthfully, I don’t put much into anything. I have a lot of friends, I have a lot of support, and he has the same. I’m a big fan and supporter of his, so that’s how I really feel about everything,” he added.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was accused of human growth hormone use in an explosive Al Jazeera story that was released on Saturday (December 26).

The 39-year-old star quarterback was accused of taking human growth hormone (HGH) during the 2011 NFL season while receiving treatment for a serious injury at the Guyer Institute in Indianapolis. Peyton played for the Indianapolis Colts at that time.

“It stings me, whoever this guy is, to insinuate that I cut corners, I broke NFL rules in order to get healthy,” the 39-year-old star quarterback said in an interview to ESPN. “It’s a joke. It’s a freaking joke.”

Peyton said that he is “angry, furious” over the accusations. “Disgusted is really how I feel, sickened by it,” Peyton added.

The man who originally made the accusations, Charlie Sly, recanted his statements: “When I was there, I had never seen the Mannings ever. They were not even living there at that time. Someone who worked there said they had been there before. That was the extent of any knowledge I had. I feel badly. I never saw any files. This is just amazing that it reached this point.”

Peyton‘s wife Ashley Manning‘s name was also dragged into the controversy, as she apparently was prescribed the drug for his use.

So far, the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts have stood by Peyton and do not believe any of the allegations.

The 39-year-old Denver Broncos quarterback won the award for Best Record-Breaking Performance for throwing a record-509th touchdown pass.

Also in attendance at the event were fellow football players JJ Watt, Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre, Odell Beckham Jr., and DeSean Jackson.

JJ and Aaron are both nominated for Best Male Athlete and Best NFL Player while Odell is nominated for Best Breakthrough Athlete and Best Play.
