Bridgerton‘s Simon and Daphne are still in touch!

Phoebe Dynevor opened up in a new interview about how she and Rege-Jean Page do check in with each other quite often since wrapping filming on Netflix‘s hot new series.

“Unfortunately now he’s off in Los Angeles, but we check in with each other a lot,” she shared with The Guardian.

Phoebe added, “It was a big moment in both of our lives in a lot of ways, and we were both quite nervous about it. We spent so much time rehearsing together that we’ve become good mates.”

She also shared that Bridgerton was just what many needed during a time of turmoil around the world.

““It has come out at a moment when people need it. It’s distracting and fun – a nice little bit of respite from the world we’re having to endure at the moment.”

Phoebe Dynevor, who plays Daphne Bridgerton in the new Netflix series Bridgerton, is explaining why she thinks fans will be waiting a while for a second season.

Nothing has been confirmed yet and Netflix hasn’t officially ordered another season of the series, but it seems inevitable that it will happen after the show’s massive success.

Phoebe thinks it could be a while until a new season is ready because of the pandemic.

Phoebe Dynevor and Rege-Jean Page just made an appearance together on The Drew Barrymore Show and you can watch the full interview here!

The two stars both talked about their families’ reactions to the steamy love scenes in their new Netflix series Bridgerton.

Phoebe said that she actually watched the show with her grandparents, but mainly so that she could fast forward through all of those scenes!

“Yes, I did but only because, and I find it really hard to watch myself, but I had to if they were going to watch it. So I had to stand there with the remote ready at any given point to fast forward for them not to see any of the things I didn’t want them to see,” Phoebe said. “We got through it. It was PG-13 for my grandparents.”

Phoebe also discussed the fan reactions. She said, “I think we were really excited about the fans of the books being able to see the show and that’s who I was thinking about the whole time like, ‘Oh Gosh we have a real Bridgerton fan base that loves the books,’ and the fact that it has spoken to such a wider audience and we’ve brought so many people into this exciting world it’s crazy but just to know we’ve given people joy in this really weird time.”

The two actors recently responded to reports that they are a couple in real life.

Rege-Jean Page is shutting down any rumors that he and co-star Phoebe Dynevor are dating.

The Bridgerton stars linked up for a joint interview with Access Hollywood, and both laughed off the rumors of them being more than just co-stars on the popular Netflix series.

“I think that everything you need to know is on camera,” Rege-Jean shared in the video interview, adding that the scripts are where the sparks are. “The sparky words, scripts and material are more than enough.”

Fans have been obsessed with the new Shondaland show since its’ premiere over the holidays on Netflix, and both Rege-Jean and Phoebe have been open about their characters’ relationship in other interviews.

Phoebe has talked about the first scene they actually filmed together, and it wasn’t their Daphne and Simon’s first meeting at all.

Bridgerton is on track to become one of Netflix’s biggest launches of all time!

The new series from Shonda Rhimes‘ production company Shondaland is on course to be viewed by 63 million households in its first 28 days on the streaming service.

These numbers will rank Bridgerton as the fifth biggest launch for a Netflix series. The current top four consist of The Witcher, Stranger Things season three, Money Heist season four, and Tiger King.

A second season of Bridgerton hasn’t been ordered yet, but it seems likely that the show will get one thanks to the major success. The season one finale might have given a clue about what’s to come in the next season!

There’s one actor who has a small role in season one and fans are just now realizing where they recognize him from!

Phoebe Dynevor is the breakout star of the new Netflix series Bridgerton and she’s opening up about the steamy sex scenes in the show!

The 25-year-old actress has some intimate scenes with co-star Regé-Jean Page and she revealed in a new interview that these were actually some of the first ones they filmed!

Phoebe confirmed there was indeed an intimacy coordinator on set to make sure everyone felt comfortable.

“My first-ever scene was in episode six, where Simon is going down on Daphne,” Phoebe said in an interview with Grazia. “And it was so great, because it felt safe and fun: you choreograph it like a stunt, or a dance. It’s crazy to me that that hasn’t been there in the past. I’ve done sex scenes before that I can’t believe I did: it was only five or six years ago, but it would not be allowed now.”

She added, “I love her [Daphne’s] coming-of-age story and her sexual awakening. I love seeing them female gaze and watching her figure it out for herself. She’s a late bloomer, but it’s not like she can google it.”

Her age has come into question as audiences are wondering if young girls in their teens are being put onto the marriage market, or if the young women are an appropriate age to get married.

While Daphne’s age isn’t addressed in the show, the book series does give an answer.
