Netflix just revealed the date that the hit series will return, and it’s next month!

Part 2 of Selena: The Series chronicles the years of hard work and sacrifice the Quintanilla family navigate together as she becomes the most successful female Latin artist of all time.
Selena: The Series stars Christian Serratos as Selena Quintanilla, along with Gabriel Chavarria as A.B. Quintanilla III, Ricardo Chavira as Abraham Quintanilla Jr, Noemí Gonzalez as Suzette Quintanilla, Seidy López as Marcella Samora, Carlos Alfredo Jr as Joe Ojeda, Hunter Reese Pena as Ricky Vela, Jesse Posey as Chris Perez, Juan Martinez as Young A.B. Quintanilla III, Madison Taylor Baez as Young Selena, and Daniela Estrada as young Suzette Quintanilla.
The final episodes of the limited series, which will have nine new installments, will be back on May 4th!
Netflix is working with Selena‘s family to make the new television series, which is going to begin production in Mexico within the next month. It’s being reported that the series is designed to run for two seasons, though it’s not known if episodes will be half-hour or hour-long.
Christian‘s casting was first reported by Vulture and THR notes that she’s still in negotiations because of her shooting schedule for The Walking Dead. She plays the fan-favorite character Rosita on the AMC series.
Selena was shot and killed at the age of 23 by her business associate. The show will follow the singer and her family as they worked to build her career.
