Simon Baker and Rebecca Rigg are going their separate ways.

The 51-year-old The Mentalist star and 53-year-old Ellie Parker actress announced they are separating after 29 years of marriage, People confirmed Friday (January 29).

The two quietly split last April, according to the outlet.

“We remain close friends and our three children will always be the most important focus of our lives,” the former couple said a joint statement to People. They share three children together: Stella, 27, Claude, 22, and Harry, 19.

The couples first met in the early ’90s, going on to star in the Australian soap opera E Street. They had most recently been seen spending time at the beach with family over the holiday season in Australia.

All of these celebrity couples also recently split.

The 51-year-old The Devil Wears Prada actor spent the day soaking up the sunny weather at the beach on Sunday afternoon (December 13) at Bronte Beach in Sydney, Australia.

Simon showed off his fit figure while going shirtless for a dip in the ocean.

After a couple of hours, Simon threw on a long-sleeved, gray shirt and straw hat as he headed home.

Simon has been enjoying time out of the spotlight with wife Rebecca Riggs and their three kids in Australia amid the pandemic.

Before the world went under quarantine, Simon attended the premiere of his latest movie High Ground at the 2020 Berlin International Film Festival.

Simon Baker flashes a handsome smirk as he arrives at the premiere of High Ground on Sunday evening (February 23) at the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin, Germany.

The 50-year-old Australian actor sported a black tux as he premiered his new movie during the 2020 Berlin International Film Festival.

Earlier that day, Simon looked stylish in a navy sweater and pink scarf as he attended the photo call for his new movie at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

Here’s the movie’s synopsis: “Set in 1919, ‘High Ground’ tells the story of former WWI sniper Travis, who is now a policeman in the vast and remote landscape of Northern Australia. He loses control of an operation, resulting in the massacre of an indigenous tribe. While his superiors decide to bury the truth, the experience leaves a scar on Travis’ conscience, but he’s forced to return there 12 years later on a mission to track down an Aboriginal outlaw. Travis soon realizes the young man he’s chasing is the only known survivor of the massacre,” according to Variety.

The duo hit the carpet at the event on Thursday evening (January 31) at the Skylight Modern in New York City.

They were also joined at the award ceremony by fellow Australians Naomi Watts, Elle MacPherson, Simon Baker and Shanina Shaik.

During the ceremony, Hugh helped honor Elle and Simon for their contributions to the arts.
