'The Mandalorian' Reveals Baby Yoda's Real Name & Backstory In New Episodes; Here's What Twitter Thinks About It

The Mandalorian just revealed some major details about who Baby Yoda is and where he’s from.

Baby Yoda’s name was revealed by the one and only Rosario Dawson, who played Jedi Ahsoka Tano (from Clone Wars), as well as almost his entire backstory.

Ahsoka reads The Child’s mind and its revealed that his true name isn’t Baby Yoda, or The Child, but Grogu.

Apparently, Grogu was raised in a Jedi temple on the planet of Coruscant, and when the Empire came to power following the Clone Wars, Grogu became hidden.

“Someone took him from the temple,” the character relays to The Mandalorian before telling him that she will not train him to become a Jedi.

“I’ve seen what feelings do to a fully trained Jedi Knight,” Ahsoka says. “I will not start this child down this path; better to have his abilities fade.”

After Baby Yoda’s name was revealed many fans took to social media to share their thoughts on it.

Later in the episode, Ahsoka tells the Mandalorian that “there’s one possibility” of how Grogu can be a Jedi again – by taking him to Tython, where he’ll find the ruins of an ancient Jedi temple that has a strong connection to the force.

“Then Grogu may choose his path. If he reaches out through the force, there’s a chance a Jedi may sense his presence and come searching for him. Then again, there aren’t many Jedi left,” Ahsoka tells him.

We’ll see what happens in the next episode…

John Boyega Reveals The Only Project That Would Make Him Return as Finn in 'Star Wars'

John Boyega still has hope for one of Finn’s axed storylines from the Star Wars franchise.

Speaking with Yahoo, the 28-year-old actor opened up about the scene he really hoped would make it to the big screen.

In the leaked script for Colin Trevorrow‘s scrapped film, it was revealed that Finn’s was originally going to end the trilogy by becoming a revolutionary and leading a class rebellion along with Rose on the galactic capital planet of Coruscant.

“I think Colin Trevorrow was going to tell that story,” John shared. “The concept art in the ‘Star Wars’ book has that image of Finn with the blue flag, and you have the AT-ATs lined up with tribal marks, and the stormtroopers take off their helmets. That would have been sick. That would have been dope, hands down.”

While John has been vocal about not returning to the franchise, it looks like he’d be open to still voicing the character in an animation project.

“Animated? Yeah that would be cool,” he said. “You could do it all from home.”

Just recently, John criticized the franchise for excluding characters of color in main storylines. Here’s what he said…

Ewan McGregor Reveals When the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ Series Will Start Filming!

Ewan McGregor is ready to return to a galaxy far, far away!

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show on Friday (October 9), the 49-year-old actor revealed that the Obi-Wan Kenobi-centered Star Wars spinoff series will begin production in March 2021.

“It’s the Obi-Wan Kenobi story, I suppose,” Ewan shared. “We start shooting it in March next year.”

The Disney+ series, which was delayed earlier this year for script re-writes, will be directed by Deborah Chow, who previously directed several episodes of The Mandalorian.

Also during his interview, Ewan talked about taking inspiration from the late Alec Guinness, who played Obi-Wan in the original Star Wars trilogy.

“The fun thing about doing [the prequels] in the first place, when I was much younger, was trying to imagine, how would he play these scenes as a younger guy?” Ewan said. “It led me to watch a lot of his early work, which I hadn’t seen before. Brilliant movies, wonderful films that he’d been in. I had such a great time sort of studying him in those movies.”

“This time, I’m much closer in age to him,” Ewan continued. “It will be my challenge to try and meet him somewhere. I love Alec Guinness. I never got to meet him, but I love him, through his work, and it’s a great honor to try and pretend to be him.”

As of right now, the Obi-Wan Kenobi series does not have a release date.

If you missed it, this actress has no recollection of who she played in Star Wars!

Keira Knightley Has No Recollection of Who She Played in 'Star Wars'

One of Keira Knightley‘s first movie roles was in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, but she has no recollection of the film!

The 35-year-old actress was only 12 when she appeared as Sabé, Queen Amidala’s double, in the epic movie.

While chatting with ComingSoon.net, Keira joked about how she barely remembers anything about the experience.

“Your character survived, whereas Padmé did not,” the interviewer said and Keira replied, “Wait a minute. Who did I play? Was I not Padmé?”

After being reminded that she played Sabé, Keira said, “Do you know, I saw the film once. I think I was 12 when I did it and it came out and I saw it the year after. And I’ve never seen it again. So, I played Sabé and she didn’t die? Okay!”

Keira was asked if she has any thoughts on where Sabé might be these days and she said, “I hope she lived a long and happy life somewhere on a planet far, far away. I’m sure she did!”

With all of the Star Wars reboots and spinoff series happening, she was also asked if there’s any talk of her reprising her role as Sabé.

“Reprising the character I can’t even remember the name of?” Keira asked while laughing. “No, there hasn’t.”

Keira just signed on to a period drama for Apple TV+ and an upcoming series for Hulu.

Daisy Ridley Reveals Who Rey Was Originally Supposed to Be Related To in 'Star Wars'

Daisy Ridley revealed that Rey was supposed to have a connection an entirely different character in Star Wars.

During her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with guest host Josh Gad, the 28-year-old actress opened up about her character’s ancestry and shared that it was actually Obi-Wan Kenobi she was supposed to be a descendant of.

As fans know, it was revealed that Rey was a descendant of Emperor Palpatine.

“At the beginning, there was toying with, like, an Obi-Wan connection,” she explained. “There were like different versions.”

However, when J.J. Abrams came back to the franchise to direct The Rise of Skywalker, he decided he liked the Palpatine connection better.

“It came to Episode IX, and J.J. pitched me the film and was like, ‘Oh yeah, Palpatine’s granddaddy,’” Daisy shared. “And I was like, ‘Awesome.’ And then, two weeks later, he was like, ‘Oh, we’re not sure.’ So, it kept changing. So then, even while filming, I wasn’t sure what the answer was going to be.”

If you missed it, this actress revealed that she auditioned for the movies, but didn’t end up getting a role.

The Mandaloria himself Pedro Pascal announced that season two of the hit Disney+ series will be premiering on Friday, October 30.

Back in April, it was confirmed that creator Jon Favreau was already working on season three of The Mandalorian.
