Todd Tilghman, the latest winner of The Voice, is opening up about what he plans on doing with the $100,000 cash prize he won!

The 43-year-old singer, who was on Blake Shelton‘s team, plans on taking his wife and eight kids on a trip to Disney World!

“We’re going to have to figure out this Disney thing because of my wife and her mouth,” Todd told People. He said his wife Brooke promised the kids that they’d go on vacation if he won the season!

Todd says he’ll have plenty of time to plan the trip since the park is closed right now due to the pandemic.

“I don’t know for sure how the trajectory of my life is going to go from here,” he said. “I don’t have any immediate plans to make any drastic changes tomorrow. I don’t know for sure the direction my life will go in. There’s a possibility that that money might pay the bills for a little while.”

Season 18 came to an end on Tuesday night (May 19), and the winner has officially been revealed.

The five remaining finalists – Micah Iverson from Team Kelly, Thunderstorm Artis from Team Nick, CammWess from Team John, Toneisha Harris and Todd Tilghman from Team Blake – battled it out for the crown on the virtual finale.

Each artist performed an original song and a cover in the first episode of the finale. And in the second, each performed a duet with their respective coach. For the first time, artists had studio versions of their performances released, but they did not factor into voting.

The season finale of The Voice is just one week away and the final five contestants have been revealed after the latest results show!

The live shows this season are all being filmed from the contestants’ and judges’ homes while host Carson Daly has been filming his portion from an empty soundstage on the Universal Studios lot in Hollywood.

The episode was filmed live from everyone’s homes around the country following Monday night’s performance episode, during which the Top 17 contestants performed.

Following last night’s vote, America picked one singer from each team to advance and then each coach picked one singer from their team to advance. The ninth artist was chosen by America during a live wild card vote.

It was a big elimination on The Voice‘s latest episode and eight contestants were sent home.

On Monday night’s show, the Top 17 contestants performed during the playoffs round and only nine singers advanced to the next round. There are just two weeks left in the competition this season!

The four coaches now have two contestants each left in the competition, except for the one coach who had a singer win the wild card vote during the results show.

The Voice has finally reached the live shows for season 18 and the singing competition series had to switch things up this time around due to the pandemic.

The Top 17 contestants all performed from their homes and the four judges – Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, John Legend, and Blake Shelton – watched the performances from their own homes.

The Voice is known for the red chairs that the judges sit in all season long and Nick is the only one who continued the tradition of the red chair at home. This is also his first season as a judge!

Carson Daly, the host of the show, filmed his portion live from the studio at Universal Studios in Los Angeles.
