Disney+ Brings In Adam Shankman To Direct 'Hocus Pocus 2'

Adam Shankman is set to direct Disney+’s upcoming Hocus Pocus 2!

Variety reports that the sequel will be a follow up tot he iconic 1993 film, which starred Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the witchy Sanderson sisters, who were resurrected and determined to become immortal by feeding off the souls of children.

While there’s no confirmation if the three will return for the movie, all of them have expressed interest.

While Bette previously said that a sequel wouldn’t happen, she didn’t say no about returning if it did.

During a Reddit AMA in 2014, she said that “I have canvassed the girls and they are willing to do it, but we have no say in it. So if you want a Hocus Pocus 2, ask the Walt Disney company.”

Sarah is also on board, sharing during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live that she “would love that. I think we’ve all been fairly vocal about being very keen but that hasn’t created any ground swell of movement.”
