Ben McKenzie Gets Support from Wife Morena Baccarin at His 'Grand Horizons' Broadway Debut Opening!

Ben McKenzie is all smiles in a suit while attending the opening night party for his Broadway debut in Grand Horizons held at The Ribbon restaurant on Thursday (January 23) in New York City.

The 41-year-old actor got support form his wife Morena Baccarin at the event as she stepped out to show her support alongside guests Kate Walsh, Edie Falco and her Nurse Jackie co-star Stephen Wallem.

Also in attendance were Ben‘s co-stars Jane Alexander, James Cromwell, Priscilla Lopez, Maulik Pancholy, Ashley Park, and Michael Urie and playwright Bess Wohl.

Here is the synopsis: Bill and Nancy have spent fifty full years as husband and wife. They practically breathe in unison, and can anticipate each other’s every sigh, snore and sneeze. But just as they settle comfortably into their new home in Grand Horizons, the unthinkable happens: Nancy suddenly wants out. As their two adult sons struggle to cope with the shocking news, they are forced to question everything they assumed about the people they thought they knew best.

Grand Horizons is currently in previews at Second Stage Theater’s Hayes Theater and opening night is on January 23. The limited run ends March 1.

Ben McKenzie Preps Broadway Debut in 'Grand Horizons' with Cast Photo Call!

Ben McKenzie is getting ready to make his Broadway debut!

The 41-year-old Gotham star joined his co-stars Ashley Park, Jane Alexander, James Cromwell and Michael Urie at their meet and greet for Second Stage Theater’s upcoming production of Grand Horizons held on Broadway at The Liberty Room at The Marriott Marquis Hotel on Wednesday (December 11) in New York City.

Grand Horizons centers on a family led by Bill and Nancy, a couple married for five decades. When Nancy suddenly walks out, their sons Brian (Urie) and Ben (McKenzie) must deal with an unexpectedly crumbling family.

30 Rock‘s Maulik Pancholy and Tony winner Priscilla Lopez complete the cast.

The show will begin previews on December 23, 2019 and officially open on January 23, 2020 at The Hayes Theater.

Alanis Morissette Gets Support from Sara Bareilles & More Stars at 'Jagged Little Pill' Broadway Opening!

Alanis Morissette walks the red carpet at the opening night of her Broadway show Jagged Little Pill on Thursday (December 5) in New York City.

The new show uses the music from Alanis‘ album of the same name, plus some of her other songs, to tell a new and original story. She was joined at the event by husband Mario Treadway, as well as the show’s director Diane Paulus, book writer Diablo Cody, choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and her music co-writer Glen Ballard.

Lots of celebs stepped out to check out the opening night performance, including Sara Bareilles and her longtime boyfriend Joe Tippett.

Also in attendance were David Foster, Rosie O’Donnell and friend Ally Sheedy, singer Sarah McLachlan, theater owner Jordan Roth, The Politican‘s Laura Dreyfuss, and Broadway stars Ashley Park, LaChanze, and Laura Osnes with husband Nathan Johnson.

LaChanze‘s daughter Celia Rose Gooding is one of the leads in the show!

Ashley Park to Lead New 'Thoroughly Modern Millie' Production in New York!

Ashley Park will be playing the title role of Millie in an upcoming production of the Tony-winning musical Thoroughly Modern Millie in New York City!

New York City Center just announced casting for the 2020 Encores! season, where classic musicals are revived in special one-week productions.

There has been some controversy over the content in Thoroughly Modern Millie in the past due to the way the show portrays its Asian characters, but the show’s authors will be working on a fresh perspective for this new production. Sutton Foster won a Tony Award and launched her career by starring in the original production in 2002.

Ashley is best known for creating the role of Gretchen in the Broadway musical Mean Girls and she’s currently working on the TV series Emily in Paris with Lily Collins. Thoroughly Modern Millie will be performed from May 6 through May 10, 2020.

Also part of the Encores! season will be Mack and Mabel starring Douglas Sills and Alexandra Socha, as well as Love Life starring Kate Baldwin, Victoria Clark, and Brian Stokes Mitchell.

Tina Fey Dazzles Alongside Jane Krakowski at Tony Awards 2019

Tina Fey flashes a smirk on the red carpet as she steps out for the 2019 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 9) Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The 49-year-old actress/producer donned a sparkling, gold suit as she was joined at the event by her former 30 Rock co-star Jane Krakowski.

Also in attendance were Broadway’s Mean Girls co-stars Ashley Park and Ben Taylor Cook.

The Tonys air live on CBS starting at 8pm ET with host James Corden.

Ellen Page Couples Up With Wife Emma Portner at 'Tales of the City' Premiere

Ellen Page was joined by her wife Emma Portner at the premiere of Tales of the City!

The 32-year-old actress hit the carpet at the event on Monday night (June 3) at Build Studio in New York City.

She was joined by her co-stars Charlie Barnett, Laura Linney, Alan Poul, Zosia Mamet and Lauren Morelli.

The upcoming series is based on the books by Armistead Maupin and follows Mary Ann as she returns to present-day San Francisco and reunites with her daughter and ex-husband, twenty years after leaving them behind to pursue her career.

Mary Ann is quickly drawn back into the orbit of her chosen family and a new generation of queer young residents living at 28 Barbary Lane.
