Adam Sandler is putting a hold on his tour.

The 53-year-old comedian and singer-songwriter announced that he will be postponing the Adam Sandler 100% Fresher Tour 2020 on Wednesday (March 11) amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

“Hey you guys. We’ve been looking forward to this upcoming tour for a long time but after a lot of thought we have decided to postpone the March dates. Health officials say that large gatherings should be avoided to help stop or prevent the spread of the coronavirus, so we will——reschedule the dates once things are back to normal. Stay safe, wash your hands, don’t make out with Schneider, and we will get through this like champs. Look forward to having a great night with you soon. Love you all, Adam Sandler,” he wrote on Twitter.

Brad Pitt is teaming up with some A-list friends to spread an important message: vote!

Ahead of Super Tuesday, W Magazine released a PSA urging people to register to vote in the upcoming coming election cycle on Wednesday (February 26).

The star-studded clip includes Laura Dern, Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron, Antonio Banderas, Cynthia Erivo, Chris Evans, Adam Sandler, Shia Labeouf, Willem Dafoe, Dakota Fanning, Margaret Qualley, Beanie Feldstein, Kaitlyn Dever, Olivia Wilde and Awkwafina, among others.

The message is clear: regardless of political affiliation, it’s never been more important to register and vote.

Adam Sandler appears on stage to accept the award for Best Actor at the 2020 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday afternoon (February 8) at the pier in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 53-year-old actor won the award for his work in Uncut Gems after being snubbed by most awards shows, including the Oscars.

Adam gave an incredible acceptance speech and it will probably go down in history as one of the best awards show speeches of all time.

One of the first things he said was an acknowledgment to the other nominees. He said, “I’d like to also give a shout-out to my fellow nominees, who will now and forever be known as ‘the guys who lost to f—ing Adam Sandler’”

Adam talked about losing the “Best Looking” superlative in high school and instead being given “Best Personality.”

“Tonight as I look around this room I realize that the Independent Spirit Awards are the ‘best personality’ awards of Hollywood,” Adam said. “So, when all those feather-haired douchebag motherf–kers go to get their Oscars tomorrow night, their handsome good looks will fade in time, but our independent personalities will shine on forever.”

Adam also made sure to thank all of the people who made comedies with him over the years.

Adam Sandler is joined by his wife Jackie while walking the carpet at the 2020 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday afternoon (February 8) at the pier in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 53-year-old actor is nominated for Best Male Lead for his work in the movie Uncut Gems, which is up for five awards overall.

Adam was joined at the event by his on-screen wife Idina Menzel, as well as the film’s directors and co-writers Benny Safdie and Joshua Safdie, co-writer Ronald Bronstein, and producer Sebastian Bear-McClard.

The movie is also up for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Editing.

FYI: Idina is wearing a Michael Kors dress and Casadei shoes.

Netflix loves Adam Sandler – so much that they’ve extended their contract with him for another four films.

The 53-year-old actor’s latest film, Uncut Gems, was co-financed by Netflix and debuts on the streaming service today.

“Whether you know him as Sandman, the Water Boy, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Nick Spitz or simply Adam, one thing is clear: our members can’t get enough of him,” Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer, shared in a statement announcing the extended deal (via Deadline).

He continued, “They love his stories and his humor, as we saw with Murder Mystery. So I could not be more excited to extend our partnership with Adam and the Happy Madison team and deliver more laughs around the world.”

Adam first signed a deal with the network in 2014 for the first four films, and it was extended again in 2017.

So far, Adam has starred in The Ridiculous 6, The Do-Over, Sandy Wexler, The Week Of, and Murder Mystery, plus a stand-up special, 100% Fresh.
