Ben Affleck has announced that he will be joining forces with some celebrity friends to raise money for hunger relief organization Feeding America during an online poker tournament!
Over $1.2 million has already been raised by the celebrities involved and 100% of the proceeds will be benefiting Feeding America.
“Excited to announce that I have joined forces with @FeedingAmerica, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, to raise money for folks who need it most. Join me and some familiar faces as we face off in a friendly poker tournament. ♦️♠️♥️,” Ben wrote on Instagram. “We’ve already raised over $1 million, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Feeding America. Right now, their work is more critical than ever before so I hope you’ll be able to join us and watch along live using @Twitch tomorrow from 11am PT.”
The event takes place on Twitch on Saturday (April 11) at 2pm ET / 11am PT.
While self-quarantining, the 26-year-old singer took to Twitter to share a video of with her friends and family recreating a scene from the Adam Sandler movie.
Ariana played Adam‘s character Bobby Boucher, complete with eye makeup resembling Bobby’s injury in the movie.
Ariana also enlisted her mom, Joan, to portray Bobby’s mom, Helen, who was played by Kathy Bates in the film. Ariana‘s former Victorious costar Elizabeth Gillies embodied Bobby’s love interest Vicki, who was first played by Fairuza Balk.
Over the weekend, Ariana recreated another Waterboy scene, which caught the eye of Adam, who reposted the video on Twitter along with the message, “Bobby Boucher approves of this message.”
Adam Sandler is keeping things positive in quarantine amid the ongoing health crisis.
The 53-year-old Uncut Gems star appeared on Thursday’s (April 2) at home-edition of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and debuted his brand new “Quarantine Song,” which widely praised the work of doctors and nurses in these trying times.
“Doctors and nurses will save us from this mess if we get them the supplies that they need,” Adam sang in the song. “And I hope they save us soon because I’m really, really sick of my family.”
He added, “We’ve got to build some more ventilators and make some more masks, we’ve got to do it now so let’s all come together. I’m teaching math to my kids and that can’t be good for America.”
Adam ended the tune with a message to listeners, singing, “Stay home as much as you can, be sure to wash your hands, let’s make this damn thing go away. We love you doctors and nurses, you’re saving lives every day. Find a cure for this s**t ’cause I really, really miss hugging my mailman.”
Also during the episode, Adam Sandler opened up about watching The Tonight Show while in quarantine with his family and also traded stories with Jimmy about their encounters with the late Robin Williams.

Adam was one of the first to postpone his upcoming tour because of the coronavirus pandemic.
“…Health officials say that large gatherings should be avoided to help stop or prevent the spread of the coronavirus, so we will——reschedule the dates once things are back to normal,” he wrote on Twitter, adding that April dates may also be postponed.
