Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani got engaged a few months ago and now, we’re finding out when they are planning to wed!

When asked on the Today show, Blake said they’re planning to do their big day this summer if all goes according to plan.

“With COVID-19, it looks like it may be OK, but I don’t know. So, that’s tentatively the plan. We’ll see,” he told the hosts. “I’m afraid if she and I wait until next November, then I’m right back into The Voice cycle again. And I really want to be able to have plenty of time before and after.”

Miranda Lambert is looking back on the process of writing a song with her ex-husband Blake Shelton and how they shared a “special moment” while working together.

The former couple co-wrote Miranda‘s song “Over You” and it was inspired by Blake‘s experience with losing his brother Richie to a car accident in 1990.

“My ex-husband, Blake, had lost a brother and it’s one of those moments where even if you’re married to someone, sometimes you find something new about them,” Miranda said in the latest episode of Essentials Radio on Apple Music. “Dudes don’t open up about things but he started telling me about the experience of it all. And I was like, ‘Have you ever written about it?’”

Miranda says that Blake told her that his father used to say, “You don’t get over it. You just get used to it.”

“And I was like, ‘Well, could we write it? Do you want to try or is that invasive?’” Miranda explained. She says she told Blake, “I would never try to write your story because I didn’t live it, but maybe I could help because I’m an outside perspective but I feel your pain talking to me right now.”

Miranda and Blake won the CMA Award and ACM Award for Song of the Year for “Over You.”

“It was really a special moment and I’m so glad we shared that song and that it helped his family heal, to have that together,” Miranda said.

Earlier this year, Miranda celebrated her second wedding anniversary with her new husband.

Adam Levine was asked about Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani during his latest interview on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up on SiriusXM Hits 1 bright and early Monday morning (March 29).

He was asked if he would be playing at their upcoming wedding, to which he jokingly responded, “They can’t afford me. No, they haven’t asked me yet … First of all, I was just texting with them. I love them so much. It’s just so funny you mentioned them, ’cause I just texted them 10 minutes ago, like, ‘I miss you guys. I love you guys.’ Yeah, they’re the best, dude. I would love to. I’d be honored.”

He added, “They won’t ask me though. They’ll probably get, like, Luke Bryan or somebody.”

If you don’t know, Adam and Blake worked together for years on The Voice and often publicly rib each other. In fact, Adam threw a little shade Blake’s way recently.

It has been years since Adam Levine has been on The Voice and now Blake Shelton is placing blame on another judge for his ousting from the show.

During the final episode of blind auditions on Monday (March 22), Blake was trying to get a contestant to pick him instead of Kelly Clarkson, who was the only other judge to turn the chair.

The contestant, Keegan Ferrell, sang a rendition of the Maroon 5 song “She Will Be Loved,” which is one of Adam‘s biggest hits.

“First of all, I happen to be buddies with the guy who wrote and sang that song. And I want you to look for just a second at this coaching panel and take note at who’s missing and who’s in that chair. Now I’m not saying that Kelly Clarkson got Adam Levine fired, but he’s gone and she’s sitting there, okay,” Blake said.

John Legend then pointed out that Kelly also has a talk show on NBC and Blake said, “This network stands for Nothing But Clarkson. NBC.”

Blake then said, “If Maroon 5 inspires you, I don’t know that I would choose a coach that is their arch-nemesis.” Kelly pointed out that she’s toured with Adam and then Blake added, “And then you got him fired.”

Sounds like there won’t be any more collaborations between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani anytime soon!

Gwen appeared on the new episode of DJ Khaled‘s podcast The First One and revealed that her fiance is very involved in her creative process.

“Yesterday, Blake and I sat down and listened to, like, every song, which is a lot of songs, and just sort of put our favourite stars by which ones,” she said. “We definitely bounce off each other.”

She also discussed being a coach on The Voice and how it’s given Blake a great ear for picking which of her songs could be potential hits.

“Being on that show, you’re around so much music, and you really know how to choose music, so I really rely on him a lot for his taste,” Gwen explained. “He knows all genres from being on that show. He has a really good ear for hits, or just songs that are the ones that we all like.”

“Definitely lean on him a lot,” she continued. “I wish he would write with me, but he doesn’t really write anymore. And we’ve actually written three songs together—we wrote a Christmas song together, and then we wrote two other songs.”

Gwen added, “But he just doesn’t like writing that much, makes me so mad.”

The pair were recently nominated for an Academy of Country Music Award for their loving duet, “Nobody But You.” They also performed the track at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

Gwen Stefani is asking Ellen DeGeneres to do something very meaningful in her upcoming wedding to Blake Shelton.

The “Hollaback Girl” superstar made an appearance on the Wednesday (March 17) episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she asked Ellen to be her maid of honor.

“You haven’t been here since you’ve been engaged—what’s happening with the wedding planning? I know Miley Cyrus said that she would sing at your wedding. Is there anything I can do?” Ellen said.

“I was thinking about that a lot and I was thinking, I was picturing like a mauve, like, bride’s maid. Maybe maid of honor, you know? We can put some extensions in and we can do—make it full, like, full flower arrangements. All that stuff,” Gwen said.

“Just tell me the time and the place and I will be there. I don’t mind doing any of that for you, because you’re my friend and anything you ask, I will wear. I will put extensions in my hair. Anything at all. That’s how much I love you Gwen,” Ellen said.

Blake Shelton is opening up about his proposal to Gwen Stefani!

While promoting the new season of The Voice, the 44-year-old judge and country singer shared new details about proposing to the 51-year-old “Hollaback Girl” singer.

“I remember, after I asked her, there was some crying and things, and Gwen’s oldest son Kingston, 14, was sitting right next to us when this happened,” Blake recalled to Access Hollywood.

“Gwen at one moment said, ‘Wait a minute, did I answer you? Did I say yes out loud?’” Blake continued. “And even I was wondering! And Kingston said, ‘Mom, yeah, you did. I heard you say yes.’”

After five years of dating, Blake proposed to Gwen in October during their trip to Oklahoma.
