Lin-Manuel Miranda, Blake Lively, & More to Star in New Movie 'The Making Of'

Lin-Manuel Miranda and Blake Lively are teaming up for a new movie.

The 40-year-old Hamilton star and the 33-year-old A Simple Favor actress will be starring alongside Richard Gere and Diane Keaton in the upcoming romantic comedy The Making Of, Variety reports.

Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz will be producing the movie through their Bedford Falls Company, and will also be writing the script.

The Making Of follows “a pair of married filmmakers (played by Gere and Keaton) casting actors (Lively and Miranda) to play the younger versions of themselves — while their own marriage is falling apart.”

Production for The Making Of is set to begin this upcoming spring.

Ryan Reynolds to Star in Upcoming Parenting Monster Comedy Movie!

Ryan Reynolds has his next movie role lined up!

The 43-year-old actor will star in the upcoming parenting comedy and monster movie, The Wrap reports.

The untitled film will be directed by Paddington director Paul King and will be based on a New Yorker short story from Saturday Night Live writer Simon Rich.

Ryan will be playing a dad “dealing with the everyday challenges of family and raising kids. The only problem is, he has to raise his children while living through the ongoing Great Monster Uprising.”

Rich‘s story “Everyday Parenting Tips” was released in the New Yorker this past May. He will be adapting his short story into a screenplay for the movie. You can read the story at NewYorker.com.

Lily James Scores Second Big Movie Role in One Week!

Lily James has some exciting new casting news!

The 31-year-old actress will be starring in the new thriller The Paris Trap from director Pablo Trapero, Deadline reports.

The thriller “revolves around a young American woman on a visit to Paris who becomes the victim of mistaken identity. Caught up in a secret international government operation, she must play the part to save her own life. Lily will play the young woman whose character is thrust to the center of the operation and must find her way out of the ‘trap,’ helped by her handler.”

The Paris Trap will be presented to buys during the virtual Cannes Market and will begin shooting in Paris early next year.

Jaime King Joins Bruce Willis in New Thriller 'Out of Death'

Jaime King and Bruce Willis are teaming up for a new movie.

Jaime has been cast to star opposite of Bruce in the upcoming thriller Out of Death directed by Mike Burns, according to Hollywood Reporter.

Written by Bill Lawrence, Jaime will be playing “a woman on a hike who witnesses four strangers committing a crime. As she races through the woods to escape, she comes across a retired forest ranger, played by Willis, and seeks his help.”

As of right now, Out of Death doesn’t have a release date.

Russell Crowe to Play Mobster in Upcoming Thriller 'American Son'

Russell Crowe has landed a new movie role!

The 56-year-old Oscar winner will be starring as a mobster in the upcoming thriller American Son, Variety reports.

Andrew “Rapman” Onwubolu
will be directing the film from a screenplay by Dennis Lehane.

Here’s the synopsis: “American Son centers around a man, who after falling under the control of a ruthless mobster (Crowe) while in prison, builds a multiracial crime syndicate, takes down his mentor, and earns a place for his crew alongside the Italian and Russian mafias.”

American Son is based on the acclaimed French film A Prophet, which followed an Arab man who is sent to a French prison, where he becomes a mafia leader.

Ashley Zukerman to Play Famed Symbologist Robert Langdon in NBC Pilot

NBC’s Langdon pilot has found its lead actor!

Ashley Zukerman has been cast as young Robert Langdon in the upcoming drama pilot, Deadline reports.

Based on the book “The Lose Symbol” by Dan Brown, the show “follows the early adventures of famed Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon (Zukerman), who must solve a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a global conspiracy.”

The 37-year-old actor recently appeared in a few episodes of the HBO series Succession and is known for starring in the Emmy-winning WGN American series Manhattan.

Disney +'s 'Turner & Hooch' Series Casts Lyndsy Fonseca & Carra Patterson

Josh Peck is getting two gorgeous co-stars for Disney+‘s Turner and Hooch series.

Lyndsy Fonseca and Carra Patterson have joined the 12-episode show, which is currently in production.

The series will centers on Scott Turner (Peck), who now is a U.S. marshal and when the ambitious, buttoned-up marshal inherits a big unruly dog, he soon realizes the pet he didn’t want may be the partner he needs.

Lyndsy is Laura, Scott’s sister who is still coming to terms with the death of their father. A dog lover, who currently owns special-needs dogs, Laura brings over to Scott their father’s legacy: a huge, slobbery dog named Hooch.

Meanwhile, Carra will play Jessica, Scott’s partner, who is a sharp contrast to his spit-and-polish ways. Brave and quick-thinking on the job, though sometimes her sense of humor gets her in trouble, Jessica genuinely respects and supports Scott.
