Tye Sheridan Joins Ben Affleck in George Clooney's Movie 'The Tender Bar'

Tye Sheridan has booked his next role!

The 24-year-old actor has joined the cast of the upcoming Amazon Studios movie The Tender Bar, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Tye will be starring alongside Ben Affleck in the movie, which will be directed by George Clooney.

The movie will be an adaption of the memoir of the same name by Pulitzer Prize-winning author and film subject J.R. Moehringer, who will serve as an executive producer on the movie.

The Tender Bar “recounts Moehringer’s adolescent years, as he grows up on Long Island in search of a father figure among the patrons at his uncle’s bar.”

Sources are saying that Tye will be playing J.R. while Ben will be playing the uncle.

As of right now, it’s unclear if George will be appearing in The Tender Bar.

Tye Sheridan is best known for his roles in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Ready Player One, and Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse.

J.K. Simmons & Nina Arianda In Talks to Play William Frawley & Vivian Vance in Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Biopic

It is being reported that J.K. Simmons and Nina Arianda are in final negotiations to play William Frawley and Vivian Vance in Amazon and Aaron Sorkin’s Being the Ricardos, according to Deadline.

Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem will be playing Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz in the upcoming biopic.

J.K.‘s character William played Fred Mertz in the beloved sitcom I Love Lucy. Nina‘s character Vivian played his wife and Lucy‘s best friend Ethel Mertz.

Being the Ricardos will be set during one production week of I Love Lucy which was a Monday table read through Friday audience filming schedule.

It will focus on when Lucy and Desi face a crisis that could end their careers and another that could end their marriage.

After it was revealed that Nicole would be playing Lucy, many fans were not happy with the decision. However, Lucy‘s daughter defended Nicole‘s casting.

Aaron will not only direct the film, but wrote the script for it as well.

Lena Dunham Teams Up with Mandy Patinkin for New Movie 'Iron Box'

Lena Dunham and Mandy Patinkin have a new movie in the works!

The 34-year-old actress and producer and the 68-year-old Homeland actor will be starring in the new movie Iron Box from German director Julia von Heinz, Variety reports.

Here’s the synopsis: “Set in 1990, right after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Iron Box follows Ruth Rothwax (Dunham), a successful New York businesswoman who insists on taking her father (Patinkin) on a trip to the country he fled as a young Holocaust survivor. While he agrees to accompany her, ‘he still doesn’t want to go where it hurts.’”

The team is hoping to film Iron Box on location in Poland next year.

Kate Beckinsale Replaces Isla Fisher in Upcoming Dark Comedy Series 'Guilty Party'

Kate Beckinsale has booked a new role!

The 47-year-old actress has signed on to star in the upcoming dark comedy series Guilty Party on Paramount+, Deadline reports.

Kate will be playing Beth Baker, “a discredited journalist desperate to salvage her career,” according to the series description. “She latches on to the story of a young mother sentenced to life in prison for maiming and murdering her husband, crimes she claims she didn’t commit. In trying to uncover the truth, Beth finds herself in over her head as she contends with Colorado gun-smugglers, clickbait culture, the doldrums of marriage and her own tarnished past.”

Originally, Isla Fisher was set to play Beth, but she had to drop out of the project due to pandemic-related circumstances.

This is now the second project Isla has had to be replaced in. Back in October, it was announced this actress will be replacing Isla in the upcoming comedy movie Unplugging.

Bad Bunny is the Latest Star to Join Brad Pitt in 'Bullet Train'!

Bad Bunny is heading to the big screen!

The 26-year-old Puerto Rican rapper has signed on to appear in the upcoming action thriller Bullet Train, Entertainment Tonight reports.

The movie is based on the popular Japanese novel “Maria Beetle” and it follows “a group of assassins with conflicting motives aboard a train in Tokyo.”

Bullet Train will feature an all-star cast that includes Brad Pitt, Joey King, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz, Michael Shannon, Logan Lerman, and Andrew Koji. Another star who is reportedly joining the cast is Lady Gaga, who will have a small supporting role.

This isn’t Bad Bunny‘s first acting role. He recently appeared in the new season of Netflix’s Narcos: Mexico and will be apart of the upcoming movie American Sole.

Isabella Gomez to Star in 'Head of The Class' Reboot Pilot for HBO Max

Isabella Gomez has a new show in the works!

The 22-year-old One Day at a Time actress has signed on to lead the pilot for the Head of The Class reboot for HBO Max, Deadline reports.

Isabella‘s casting reveals a gender-swap for the original comedy series that aired on ABC in the 1980s with the lead being played by Howard Hesseman.

Written by Amy Pocha and Seth Cohen, “the re-imagined Head of The Class revolves around a group of overachieving high school students who meet their greatest challenge — a first-time teacher, Alicia Adams (Gomez), who wants them to focus less on grades and more on experiencing life.”

Isabella‘s character Alicia is describe as a funny, smart, and blunt high school teacher, who thought she had it all figured out when she was in high school. Now as a first time teacher, Alicia is trying to figure out what she really wants in life.

The original Head of The Class ran on ABC from 1986 to 1991, and followed a group of students at the fictional Millard Fillmore High School in Manhattan and their history teacher Charlie Moore (Hesseman).

Isabella‘s casting on the Head of The Class reboot comes just days after it was revealed that One Day at a Time was cancelled by Pop.
