Charli XCX kicks off her new album with an indirect tribute to a former A-list couple!

The 27-year-old music star’s new album, how i’m feeling now, opens with a song called “pink diamond,” which she’s revealing was inspired by the 6.1 carat pink diamond ring from Harry Winston that Ben Affleck gave to Jennifer Lopez when he proposed to her in 2002.

“‘pink diamond’is about video chatting/dancing online.. the title came from this interview I did w Dua [Lipa] & Jlo where Jlo spoke about when she met Barbra Streisand & she asked her about the pink diamond ben affleck had given her. & I was like oh ‘pink diamond’ thats a cute title 💞,” Charli explained on her Twitter on Monday (May 18).

How I’m Feeling Now is Charli‘s fourth album. Back in April, Charli revealed that while in isolation because of the health pandemic, she started this album from scratch.

“For me, staying positive goes hand in hand with staying creative, and so that’s why I’ve decided I’m going to use this isolation time to make a brand new album from scratch,” Charli shared with fans at the time.

Kim Petras has released her star-studded music video for “Malibu“!

The 27-year-old pop star gathered a ton of her celeb friends, as well as fans, to appear in her new video.

“I’ve been asking all my fans to send me videos of them bringing the beach to their home. So, I’ve been getting so many videos of them in bikinis, with drinks, on beach towels, in their bathtub,” she told Apple Music. “People have really been getting creative for that.”

“So, I’m really excited for that to come out because I really think that’s going to make you feel like you just went to the beach, which was initially all I want to do with the song,” Kim added. “I just want you to feel like you just went to the beach and have a good time. That’s really all I want from the song.”

Charli XCX is continuing to release music from her upcoming quarantine project, how i’m feeling now.

The 27-year-old “1999″ singer released “I Finally Understand” on Thursday (May 7).

Baby, I love you bad / ‘Cause lately I finally understand / That maybe this feeling that I’ve found / Might kill me, put me in the ground,” she sings.

The song was produced by Palmistry, with additional production from A. G. Cook and Mechatok, and is described as “drawing from elements of UK garage and hints of Baltimore club music.”

how i’m feeling now is set to be released on May 15, and is being written, recorded and released entirely in quarantine amid the pandemic.

Charli XCX is back with a brand new music video.

The 27-year-old Pop 2 entertainer revealed the new visual for “claws,” her latest single from the upcoming album how i’m feeling now, on Friday (May 1).

The video was directed by Charli and Charlotte Rutherford, and is described as transporting Charli to “multiple alternate realities from the comfort of her home while she’s self-isolating using a green screen.”

The song was produced by Dylan Brady of 100 gecs, and is featured on the project set to be released on May 15, recorded and produced entirely in quarantine due to the pandemic.

The 27-year-old “1999″ singer dropped her new song, “Claws,” on Thursday (April 23).

“Claws” is the latest release from her forthcoming album how i’m feeling now, due out on May 15.

I like everything about you,” she repeatedly croons on the track.

The album is being written, recorded and released in quarantine due to the pandemic, featuring fan feedback on every aspect of the record – from videos, to songwriting choices, to single selection, including “Claws.”

The song was produced by Dylan Brady of 100 gecs.

Charli XCX just provided a visual for a new single!

The 27-year-old singer released the music video for “Forever” on Friday (April 17).

“Forever” is the first song off of Charli‘s upcoming studio album, how i’m feeling now.

The video is co-directed by Charli and Dan Streit​and​, and was created with over 5,000 clips from fans.

“Forever” was created within two days, with Charli working with her co-producers entirely in isolation. The entire album will be written, recorded, produced and released while in quarantine, with the process being shared with her fans for feedback.
