Charli XCX kicks off her new album with an indirect tribute to a former A-list couple!
The 27-year-old music star’s new album, how i’m feeling now, opens with a song called “pink diamond,” which she’s revealing was inspired by the 6.1 carat pink diamond ring from Harry Winston that Ben Affleck gave to Jennifer Lopez when he proposed to her in 2002.

“‘pink diamond’is about video chatting/dancing online.. the title came from this interview I did w Dua [Lipa] & Jlo where Jlo spoke about when she met Barbra Streisand & she asked her about the pink diamond ben affleck had given her. & I was like oh ‘pink diamond’ thats a cute title 💞,” Charli explained on her Twitter on Monday (May 18).
