Daniel Radcliffe Thinks He Knows Why Everyone Thinks He Has Coronavirus After That Viral Fake Tweet

Daniel Radcliffe is speaking out about the false rumor that he has Coronavirus and he has a theory as to why that may be.

In an interview, Daniel said, “It’s funny you ask me that today because I walked into the hair and makeup room on the play yesterday, and the makeup artist was like, ‘My niece has just texted me and told me you’ve got corona.’”

“I was like, ‘What?!’ He showed me a tweet, it was like, ‘Daniel Radcliffe becomes first famous person to contract coronavirus,’” Daniel added. “I was like, what?!”

“I think it’s just because I look ill all the time, so you can believably say it about me,” he continued. “‘Cause I’m very pale.”

Daniel Radcliffe & Coronavirus Rumors: Here's His Rep's Response

Rumors have been spreading that Daniel Radcliffe tested positive for Coronavirus after a tweet from a fake BBC account went viral.

A hoax account tweeted out, “BREAKING: Daniel Radcliffe tests positive for coronavirus. The actor is said to be the first famous person to be publicly confirmed.”

A rep for Daniel tells JustJared.com that the rumors are “not true” and the tweet has since been deleted.

Fans who clicked into the fake Twitter account easily noticed it was a hoax since the account only had 125 followers and the link provided in the tweet didn’t lead to an actual article. The tweet still garnered over 1,000 likes and hundreds of retweets before it was deleted.

Daniel recently opened up about his future with the Harry Potter franchise and whether he’ll ever return to the iconic role.

Daniel Radcliffe Doesn't Think He'll Ever Play Harry Potter Again

Don’t expect to see Daniel Radcliffe make an appearance in the Fantastic Beasts franchise because he says he doesn’t think he’ll play his iconic character Harry Potter ever again.

The 30-year-old actor recently spoke to Variety and addressed whether he’d be open to playing the role again or not.

“I don’t think so,” Daniel said. “I don’t like say no to things, but it’s not something that I’m rushing to do. I feel like those films have moved on and they’re doing just fine without us.”

“I’m happy to keep it that way. I like what my life is now. I’m not saying that I’ll never go back into any franchise, but I like the flexibility that I have with my career now. And I don’t want to get into a situation where I’m signed up for one series for years in advance,” he added.

Daniel Radcliffe Celebrates London Stage Return at 'Endgame' Press Night Party!

Daniel Radcliffe is back on the London stage!

The 30-year-old actor joined his co-stars Jane Horrocks, Alan Cumming and Karl Johnson at the special press night after party for their play Endgame held at Sea Containers on Tuesday (February 4) in London, England.

1917 breakout star George MacKay was also in attendance to show his support.

At the party, Daniel opened up about how physical his role in Samuel Beckett’s Endgame is at the Old Vic: “I have a friend in New York who grew up in a circus and spent a lot of his life doing ladder tricks and things like that. So before I started I was talking to him about what was possible,” Daniel told the Evening Standard. “I love the physicality. The physicality for me is often a really useful way of getting into a character. It’s a joy to do, it’s great, and I get a real sweat on every night.”

Daniel Radcliffe Recalls Being Mistaken For A Homeless Man

Daniel Radcliffe told a really funny story on the Graham Norton Show this week.

It turns out that the 30-year-old actor was mistaken for a homeless man while out in New York City recently.

“I was in New York recently with my girlfriend and while she was in a shop, I was outside with our foster dog,” Daniel explained. “It was very cold, and I had on a hoodie, a fleece and then a big coat over the top.”

He adds, “Because it was so cold, I knelt down to warm the dog and I saw this guy looking at me and then he walked past me, but then he came back and handed me five dollars and said, ‘Get yourself a coffee mate.’ Apparently, I need to shave more often!”

Daniel Radcliffe's Favorite 'Harry Potter' Movie Is...

There is a Harry Potter movie marathon on the USA network today, and we got curious…which Harry Potter film is the star Daniel Radcliffe‘s favorite!?

If you don’t know, Daniel starred in all 8 movies in the title role.

Daniel recently revealed that he loved Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 (the last film), but he also loved the fifth movie in the series (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix).

“I love the last one, but I also really love the fifth, which is not a lot of people’s favorite, I kind of realize,” Daniel told Wired. “I love it because of the relationship between Harry and Sirius [Black], and you get a lot of Gary Oldman in that movie.”

“That was my favorite one. Probably to film as well. We had a really, really good time making that one. Five or seven, part two,” Daniel said.
