Rami Malek is enjoying a screening of Rocketman!

The 38-year-old Bohemian Rhapsody star was in attendance at a special screening of the movie with director Dexter Fletcher and Paramount Pictures CEO Jim Gianopulos at the San Vincente Bungalows on Saturday night (November 30) in West Hollywood, Calif.

If you didn’t know, Dexter Fletcher also directed Rami in Bohemian Rhapsody, taking over after Bryan Singer was fired from the project.

In fact, there was even early consideration by the director to have Rami‘s portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Rocketman!

“There was an idea I had one point, where Elton’s in a restaurant with his mother. I thought John Reid and Freddie could be at another table and they wave at each other! That would have been amazing, [but] it didn’t come to pass. It would’ve been a little too knowing…I’m not looking to set out to make a cinematic universe!” Dexter told Gay Star News.

Taron Egerton is all smiles as he attends the Rocketman SAG-AFTRA Screening hosted by Andy Cohen on Wednesday (November 13) at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Screening Room in New York City.

The 30-year-old actor kept things casual in an unzipped, gray sweat-jacket, gray cardigan, dark jeans, and white sneakers as he attended the screening to promote his movie ahead of awards season.

Also in attendance at the screening was Rocketman director Dexter Fletcher.

Jamie Bell, Taron Egerton, Elton John and Bernie Taupin happily pose backstage together while attending Rocketman: Live in Concert held at the Greek Theatre on Thursday (October 17) in Los Angeles.

Following a screening of Rocketman, in which the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra played live to the film, the film’s subject and star – Elton and Taron – hit the stage for an encore performance of “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again,” the film’s original song.

Also in attendance to show their support were Jamie‘s wife Kate Mara, director Dexter Fletcher, co-star Bryce Dallas Howard and music producer Giles Martin.

Elton John closed the evening with another performance of “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me,” with John at the piano and Egerton on vocals.

The 29-year-old actor was joined at the event by Rocketman‘s director Dexter Fletcher, who was accompanied by his wife Dalia Ibelhauptaitė.

Rami, the Oscar-winning star of Bohemian Rhapsody, attended the premiere of Rocketman earlier this week in New York City.

Dexter Fletcher, who directed Taron in Rocketman, was brought in to finish Bohemian Rhapsody after director Bryan Singer was fired from the project.

Taron and Rami posed for some photos at the after party for the NYC premiere and the worlds of both movies are totally colliding. Who else wants to see Freddie Mercury and Elton John together in a movie now?!

In a recent interview to promote the movie, Taron opened up about portraying Elton John in some intimate sex scenes, including the moment he lost his virginity.

A reporter for Out asked if Elton‘s preferred sexual position in the scene was the “top.”

“I can’t believe I’m about to talk about this on camera. Yes, he is, that’s the way we approached it, yes,” he said.
