Kaley Cuoco sits on a panel for her upcoming DC Universe animated series Harley Quinn during the 2019 TCA Summer Press Tour on Tuesday (July 23) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The 33-year-old actress is voicing the title character in the new series and she was joined by co-stars Lake Bell (Poison Ivy), Alan Tudyk (Joker & Clayface), Diedrich Bader (Batman), JB Smoove (Frank the Plant), and some of the show’s producers.
The series will follow Harley Quinn as she realizes that her relationship with the Joker has been a toxic one.
“She goes through growth but it’s like a few steps forward and 25 steps back,” Kaley said at the panel (via Deadline). “She falls back in her old ways again and can’t really help it.”
Harley Quinn befriends other villains like Poision Ivy and “she’s learning what real friendships are. These friends are more of her family than her real family which we find out later in the series.”
The new series will debut on the DC Universe digital service in the fall.
FYI: Kaley is wearing a Stella McCartney jumpsuit and Charles & Keith heels.
