In the interview, she said she’s working on a “really great and really honest” album.

“There’s just a lot of questions that I have to answer before releasing it for myself, you know? Whether that be businesswise or personally or whatever. Whatever happens though, it is such a gift,” she said.

“Like, I don’t know how anybody, I’ll just be real with you, goes through grief like divorce, any kind of grief, any kind of loss, without having an outlet like this,” she continued.

“I have written like 60 songs, it is an insane amount of getting it out. I think that’s a blessing in itself. Anytime you go through some life, it’s such an awesome thing to have that outlet, regardless of whether people hear it or not.”

“What are you willing to put out there?” she says of what she asks of herself when writing.

“I hate that I had to go through ‘Because of You’ or ‘Piece by Piece’ (moments). Certain songs that I’ve written certainly have shaped me, but have been really hard,” she explained.

“They’re just difficult decisions to put those out because they’re so personal. But the other side of you is like, ‘Man, how many people have come up to me.’ Like, ‘You have no idea. I never wanted to talk about it, I never have told anyone this.’”

Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce after seven years of marriage to Brandon Blackstock in 2020. She recently got candid about co-parenting.

Kelly Clarkson's Legal Team Responds to Ex-Husband Brandon Blackstock Denying He Defrauded Her Out of Millions

Kelly Clarkson‘s legal team is issuing a response after her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock denied defrauding her out of millions of dollars over the course of her career.

The legal drama between the two began in September 2020, when Starstruck Management Group claimed Kelly owed them over $1.4 million in unpaid commissions. The company is run by Brandon’s father, Narvel Blackstock.

Kelly responded by filing her own petition, which accused Starstruck Management of violating California Labor Code and overcharging for their commission fees.

Now ET reports that the company claims they are not subject to the Talent Agencies Act that Kelly included in her filing because they did not perform their duties in California.

Kelly’s attorney told ET in a statement on Tuesday, “We stand by our allegations that Starstruck violated the Talent Agencies Act, despite their boilerplate denials, and we look forward to trying the case before the Labor Commissioner in August.”

Kelly Clarkson is opening up about what she wishes she never told her six-year-old daughter River.

The 38-year-old singer opened up on the latest episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show in response to a question from an audience member.

Kelly said, “My daughter became obsessed when she was 4 years old about where she came from. And then she started being nervous about death. I was like, ‘What is happening?’”

“She was talking about death and all these things and I wanted her to feel good about, like, not dying, or anything like that and then also, like, ‘Well, you were a part of Mommy, so you’ll always have me, so even if Mommy dies, you were a part of me,’” Kelly continued. “‘You were in Mommy’s tummy, actually. So, you were always a part of me, so that’ll never go away. You’re from my body, so you carry Mommy on, so, in a sense, Mommy will never die with you because I’m a part of you.’”

Kelly then revealed what started to happen when River saw women out in the world.

Kelly Clarkson Says Celebs Were Mean to Her During 'American Idol,' Except This One Star

Kelly Clarkson is opening up about how celebrities were mean to her during her days on American Idol.

While interviewing Jennifer Love Hewitt on the latest episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the singer revealed how she was one of the only people that was nice to her back in the day.

Kelly told Jennifer how they met at a red carpet event during the Top 3 week on her season of American Idol.

“You probably don’t remember this, but it stuck with me [for] so long… almost 20 years now,” Kelly said. “It was at some kind of MTV Awards, VMAs or something, I don’t know what it was but you ran up to me. It was right in the final three of Idol, everything was happening in a whirlwind and people were really mean to us because we’re from a talent show and it was the first season.”

“Everyone was so rude to us, like on the carpet, at the show… it was a horrible experience. You came up to me, ran up to me out of nowhere and were like ‘Oh my gosh, I’m really rooting for you,’” Kelly continued. “You told me, ‘Please, keep the ones you love so close. It’ll be a few people in your life unfortunately but this business can be really hard. And just remember to keep those people that really love you.’ You just gave me this advice that was really kind at such an unkind time for me personally. So thank you so much, it meant the world to me.”
