Kumail Nanjiani & Wife Emily V. Gordan Go For Afternoon Walk To Take Break from Quarantine

Kumail Nanjiani and his wife Emily V. Gordan are enjoying a day out!

The 42-year-old The Eternals actor showed off his buff biceps in a tight, white T-shirt as he enjoyed a little break from his quarantine with the 40-year-old screenwriter.

Kumail and his wife Emily soaked up some fresh air while going for a walk around their neighborhood in Beverly Hills.

A few days before, Kumail took to his Instagram to share some thoughts about walking during social distancing: “Walked around an empty Beverly Hills yesterday. It was eerie. (Yes my eyes are closed in the picture. I was trying to picture normalcy),” he said. “(And yes in LA you are allowed to go on walks as long as you stay 6 feet away from people. As you can see, that was not a problem here. In fact, WHO’s official recommendations on how to deal with coronavirus include: go on walks while practicing social distancing.)”

It was recently announced that Kumail and Issa Rae‘s new movie The Lovebirds will now be released on this streaming site instead of hitting theaters.

'The Lovebirds' Will Go to Netflix Instead of Hitting Theaters

Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani‘s upcoming movie The Lovebirds will be premiering on Netflix after being pulled from the theatrical release calendar due to theater closures around the country.

Movie theaters are shut down indefinitely due to the global health crisis right now and it’s unclear when they will be able to reopen.

Paramount Pictures has sold the movie to Netflix and the deal has been “in the works for a while,” according to Deadline.

The Lovebirds was supposed to hit theaters on April 3, but it’s unclear when Netflix will decide to release the film.

Here’s the movie’s synopsis: A couple (Rae and Nanjiani) experiences a defining moment in their relationship when they are unintentionally embroiled in a murder mystery. As their journey to clear their names takes them from one extreme – and hilarious – circumstance to the next, they must figure out how they, and their relationship, can survive the night.

Kumail Nanjiani Jokes Movie Theaters Should Play 'Stuber' to Keep People at Home

Kumail Nanjiani is roasting one of his own movies!

The 42-year-old actor took to Twitter on Saturday (March 14) to share a message amid the coronavirus pandemic urging people to avoid crowded areas and to stay home.

“I know this is a weird time, & difficult for many ppl who have jobs in the service industry, but consider not packing bars/restaurants right now,” Kumail tweeted. “This, right now, is what you can do to stem the spread. Hospitals will get overwhelmed in mere weeks. We can #flattenthecurve.”

A fan then jokingly responded saying that theaters should play Kumail‘s movie Stuber to keep people home – and Kumail agreed!

“In order to keep people away from gathering at movie theaters, every cinema has announced they’ll be showing nothing but ‘Stuber,’” the fan tweeted, to which Kumail responded, “Well, it worked the first time.”

Stuber was released last year and received very poor ratings and did not do well in the box office.

Shirtless Kumail Nanjiani Recreates Iconic Movie Scenes

Kumail Nanjiani is showing off his buff bod while recreating iconic moments in movie history!

The 42-year-old stand-up comedian and The Eternals actor got shirtless while recreating shots from The Wolverine, Die Hard, and more for Men’s Health‘s April issue, on stands March 17. Here’s what he had to share with the mag:

On becoming part of the Marvel universe like fellow comedians Chris Pratt and Paul Rudd, which included turning down supporting parts in other comic-book projects: “It was a pipe dream, but I was very strategic about it. I was like, ‘I don’t want to be just part of the Marvel movie; I want to be a Marvel superhero.’”

On changing his directive from “leave your body” to “chase the pain” in order to make it through the training: “I had to change my relationship to pain. You’re so designed to avoid it, but in that situation you really have to be okay with it. You have to want it. It’s almost trying to rewire your brain.”

Kumail’s wife Emily V. Gordon on reactions after Kumail shared photos of his new body with the world: “Half the messages I got that day were from people being like, ‘Hey, I want to have sex with your husband, and the other half were from people making sure I was okay with my husband’s naked body being everywhere. It took a very private thing from our lives and made it incredibly public. And all I could be was really proud, because he looked amazing.”
