Luke Bryan has made the difficult decision to delay both his upcoming album release and tour.

The album, Born Here Live Here Die Here, was set to debut on April 24, however now is set to release on August 7.

Luke‘s tour, titled the “Proud to be Here” tour, has also been pushed back and will start on July 10 in Alabama and wrap Oct. 30 in Louisiana.

“What an incredibly confusing and scary time our world is facing right now, and it is important we continue to follow the guidelines we have been given and do our part to keep everyone safe,” Luke shared in a statement (via Variety).

He continues, “With that in mind, we are choosing to stay home at this time so we can have fun sharing this music and tour with you this summer. I truly believe that music can provide all forms of emotional connections for everyone and I can’t wait to get on the road and share these new songs with you soon.”

Luke joins countless other musicians who have delayed, postponed and even cancelled their upcoming events.

The brand new season of American Idol airs tonight on ABC and we have some details about the salaries of the three star judges and the host of the show, Ryan Seacrest.

If you don’t know, the three returning judges this season are Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie, who all participated in last year’s season as well.

The reboot of American Idol debuted on ABC back in 2018. The show previously aired on Fox for 15 seasons before making the move to ABC.

Katy Perry appeared on Wednesday night’s (February 12) Jimmy Kimmel Live with her fellow American Idol judges, and things got a bit awkward when she was asked if Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan would be invited to her upcoming wedding to Orlando Bloom.

“I can’t afford them,” the 35-year-old Teenage Dream singer said when host Jimmy pressed, she added, “I call myself a ‘bride-chilla.’ I’m kinda chill. But I am one of those girls where I got engaged Feb. 14 and I booked the place Feb. 19. I took it very seriously.”

“Like I said, I can’t afford them,” Katy continued. “Look, they have a lot of work to do while I’m out getting married again.”

Katy Perry was first married to Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012. “It’s gonna be a small wedding!,” she insisted before Bryan quipped, “Lionel and I, we’ve been dropping hints and this solidified [it].”

Earlier that same day, Katy rocked a pink ensemble for the official American Idol season 18 premiere event with Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

FYI: Katy is wearing a DUNDAS blazer and trousers, FEMME heels, Hellenium pearl earrings and Dries Van Noten ring.

The 35-year-old singer joined her fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, and mentor Bobby Bones at the event ahead of the premiere of the new season.

The event also featured a live performance from last year’s winner, Laine Hardy, who is hard at work on his debut album.

American Idol will debut on Sunday, February 16 on ABC.

Luke Bryan‘s red stag has been illegally shot and killed.

The 43-year-old country singer’s deer was killed on his farm in Tennessee by someone outside of the property, local authorities report.

Luke Bryan‘s property was targeted between December 4 and 6, according to the Maury County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for anyone who can identify the shooter.

“As an agency we appreciate our hunters who do the right thing and follow the bylaws, and it takes a second for someone to ruin it for all of us,” Barry Cross of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency told the Tennessean.

Luke Bryan appeared on The Tonight Show on Sunday night (October 27), and dished about the time he sang the Star Spangled Banner during the 2017 Super Bowl!

“I sign on to do the Anthem at the Super Bowl and when I got the call, you’re like, ‘Do you really want to put yourself through this mental torture?’ You either get the Anthem right or you don’t, first of all,” the 43-year-old actor recalled.

“And then you’re at the Super Bowl doing it. So I sign on to do it and then the Falcons are playing the Patriots in the Super Bowl,” Luke continued. “I did it where I went out there and performed it without pre-taping it or anything.”

Luke also talked about American Idol, on which he is currently a judge. “It’s organized chaos,” Bryan says, noting that he initially wasn’t sure of the lineup of judges. “Now, three seasons in, it’s just a fun dynamic.”

Later on the show, Luke hit the stage to perform his new single “What She Wants Tonight.”

American Idol‘s three judges – Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie – will all be returning for the 2020 season of the hit reality show.

“American Idol is the original music competition series,” ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke said in a statement. “It was the first of its kind to take everyday singers and catapult them into superstardom, launching the careers of so many amazing artists. We couldn’t be more excited for Katy, Luke, Lionel and [in-house mentor] Bobby [Bones] to continue in their roles as American Idol searches for the next great music star, with more live episodes and exciting, new creative elements coming this season.”

It’s unclear at this time if Ryan Seacrest will be back as host. He’s never not hosted a season of American Idol!
