Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard are enjoying a family vacation in Greece!

The 42-year-old The Deuce actress and the 49-year-old Jackie actor went for a bike ride with their daughters Ramona, 14, and Gloria, 8, (not pictured) on Tuesday afternoon (October 6) on Spetses Island in Greece.

Maggie stayed safe in a face mask while wearing a white dress and straw hat as Peter showed off his arms in a tan tank shirt and black shorts for their outing.

After a little while, the family stopped by a shop to enjoy a quick bite to eat.

Last month, it was announced that this Emmy-nominated actor is joining the star-studded cast of The Lost Daughter, which will be Maggie‘s directorial debut!

Paul Mescal Joins Cast of Maggie Gyllenhaal's Directorial Debut

Paul Mescal is making his feature film debut!

The 24-year-old Normal People actor has signed on to join the cast of The Lost Daughter, which will be the directorial debut for Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Paul will be joining Olivia Colman, Dakota Johnson, Jessie Buckley, and Peter Sarsgaard in the movie.

The film follows a college professor (Colman) whose own psychological trauma begins to resurface after meeting a woman (Johnson) and her young daughter while on summer vacation, Variety reports.

If you missed it, Paul was nominated at the 2020 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or a Movie for his role in Normal People. You can check out the full list of nominees here!

Kristen Stewart & Maggie Gyllenhaal Have Directed Short Films for Neflix

Kristen Stewart and Maggie Gyllenhaal have been staying busy during the pandemic.

The actresses are two of 17 filmmakers that have directed short films during the global lockdown in a project titled Homemade helmed by director Pablo Larrain for Netflix, Variety reports.

Homemade
combines all of the filmmakers’ short films – which will be available to watch as five to seven minute shorts, or as one long feature – and captures each individuals quarantine experience.

Kristen filmed her short film in Los Angeles while Maggie shot hers in Vermont, where she has been quarantining with her family.

If you didn’t know, Pablo will soon be directing Kristen in the upcoming biopic Spencer, where the actress will be playing the late Princess Diana.

Homemade will be debuting on Netflix on June 30, and a donation in honor of each filmmaker will be made from Netflix’s Hardship Fund to third parties and non-profit groups providing emergency relief for out-of-work cast and crew.

Maggie Gyllenhaal has completed the handstand challenge in which people are putting on a t-shirt while doing a handstand!

The 42-year-old Oscar-nominated actress was challenged by her younger brother Jake to complete the task after he was challenged by Tom Holland.

Maggie decided to challenge four women to complete the challenge.

“I nominate an all female team of Jessica Chastain, Sarah Silverman, Alison Roman, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,” she captioned the video.

Great Gerwig & Maggie Gyllenhaal Support Young Stars at 'Never Rarely Sometimes Always' Premiere

Maggie Gyllenhaal cozies up to husband Peter Sarsgaard while arriving at the premiere of Never Rarely Sometimes Always held at Metrograph on Monday night (March 9) in New York City.

Greta Gerwig also showed her support for the film, stars Talia Ryder and Sidney Flanigan, and director Eliza Hittman at the red carpet event.

Here’s the official synopsis for the movie: “The film is an intimate portrayal of two teenage girls in rural Pennsylvania. Faced with an unintended pregnancy and a lack of local support, Autumn (Flanigan) and her cousin Skylar (Ryder) embark across state lines to New York City on a fraught journey of friendship, bravery and compassion.”

Talia and Sidney just recently premiered the film during the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.

Dakota Johnson & Olivia Colman to Star in Maggie Gyllenhaal's Directorial Debut!

Maggie Gyllenhaal‘s directorial debut, The Lost Daughter, is shaping up to have an A-list cast including Dakota Johnson and Oscar winner Olivia Colman!

Also set to star at Peter Sarsgaard and Jessie Buckley, with more likely to be revealed at a later time.

The film follows a college professor (Colman) whose own psychological trauma begins to resurface after meeting a woman (Johnson) and her young daughter while on summer vacation, Variety reports.

“When I finished reading Elena Ferrante’s ‘The Lost Daughter,’ I felt that something secret and true had been said out loud. And I was both disturbed and comforted by that,” Maggie said in a statement. “I immediately thought how much more intense the experience would be in a movie theatre, with other people around. And I set to work on this adaptation. I find that the script has attracted other people interested in exploring these secret truths about motherhood, sexuality, femininity, desire. And I’m thrilled to continue my collaboration with such brave and exciting actors and filmmakers.”
