Is Desperate Housewives coming back?! Not so fast…

On Wednesday (January 13), a rumor started swirling that the hit ABC series was getting a revival heading to Hulu.

“Our source inside @Hulu has confirmed that they are in the final stages of development for a 10 episode DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES REVIVAL! @HatchingChange @EvaLongoria @ReallyMarcia #FelicityHuffman are ALL set to return!!! Are you excited???” a fan site tweeted.

After seeing the tweet, Marcia Cross, who played Bree Van de Camp on Desperate Housewives, shut down the rumors.

“News to me!!” the 58-year-old three-time Golden Globe-nominated actress tweeted.

Desperate Housewives ran on ABC for eight seasons from 2004 to 2012 and starred Marcia, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria, Brenda Strong, Nicolette Sheridan, and Vanessa Williams. The show won six Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Eva Longoria joins her former Desperate Housewives co-star Marcia Cross on the red carpet for The Farrah Fawcett Foundation’s Tex-Mex Fiesta on Friday (September 6) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The event was held to celebrate the life and legacy of Farrah, 10 years after her passing.

Marcia, who is a cancer survivor, was honored with the Shining Star Award during the event. Other stars in attendance included Farrah‘s Charlie’s Angels co-star Jaclyn Smith, as well as Melanie Griffith, Rachel Hunter, Billy Baldwin, and foundation CEO Alana Stewart.

Marcia Cross is getting candid about her battle with anal cancer.

The 57-year-old actress was diagnosed with the disease a year-and-a-half ago but is now in remission.

“I know there are people who are ashamed. You have cancer! You have to then also feel ashamed? Like you did something bad, you know, because it took up residence in your anus? I mean, come on, really. There’s enough on your plate,” Marcia told CBS.

During her treatment, Marcia also learned that her cancer was likely caused by the same HPV strain that caused her husband Tom Mahoney‘s throat cancer.

According to the CDC, HPV causes more than 90 percent of anal cancers and can also cause cancer of the cervix, genitals, and throat.

But the types of HPV that most commonly cause cancer can be prevented by a vaccine, which Marcia is now encouraging people to get.

She says her 12-year-old twin daughters, Savannah and Eden, will get their first shot in a few weeks.

The 56-year-old former Desperate Housewives star showed off her fiery red hair in a gray sweater and jeans while her husband kept things cool in a gray polo shirt and jeans as they spent the afternoon picking up some Christmas gifts.

This is one of the first times Marcia has been spotted out since she revealed she recently battled cancer.

Marcia kept her journey mostly under wraps, until she proudly announced in September that she was healthy and cancer free.

“I am POST cancer. All good now. Hard journey, but I am HEALTHY, happy, and more present and grateful than ever,” Marcia shared at the time.

The 56-year-old Desperate Housewives actress provided a health update after undoing treatment for anal cancer on her Instagram.

“So grateful and happy to be alive but sad that my hair fell out and is about 1 inch long now and looks cra cra. Anyone else have #hairloss due to #cancer? Talk to me. I feel you,” she said captioning a selfie.

“I am POST cancer. All good now. Hard journey, but I am HEALTHY, happy, and more present and grateful than ever. Thank you from the bottom of my ever expanding heart for all of your LOVE. Marcia,” she wrote.

“After posting a picture of myself here and uttering the words #cancer and #hairloss, I felt liberated, deliriously free and completely me. How or why this simple act gave me such a powerful lift I did not question, but I thanked God or whatever gave me the internal push to move forward and expose myself,” she added in another post.
